Tiger Airlines was established in 2003 with Tiger Singapore. In order to keep costs in check, the airline does not provide audio/video entertainment on any of its flights.
It does stock a free magazine called Tiger Tales, which gives exciting news on travel and great deals. It also has an exclusive program called Stripes, which gives you a chance to access the airlines’ great deals and discounts.
An offering from the airline called Tiger Bites offers a selection of items from their menu, which may be pre-ordered online, at least 5 days prior to your flight departure. This is to ensure that you get your preferred choice of meal whenever you travel. You may only pre-order Tiger Bites at the time of booking your tickets.
As per Tiger Airways baggage allowance policy, they encourage customers to save costs by choosing to travel with hand luggage only. However, if you wish to check in your baggage then the airline offers you a choice of selecting the Luggage Upsize option, which needs to be selected at the time of making a reservation. A corresponding fee is applicable per passenger, per one-way flight. This excludes items such as sporting equipment.
