'Allahabad, as a city, is known for its heritage, culture, literature and art. To that effect, it is no surprise that the Allahabad Museum is a huge tourist attraction. Situated inside the lovely Chandrasekhar Azad Gardens, also known as Alfred Park, the museum is home to a variety of art objects, each with an interesting story. From ancient Mathura sculptures, paintings by famous artists of yore, and pottery and miniatures from Rajasthan and other parts of North India, to a pistol that belonged to freedom fighter Azad, the collection is impressive. There are free guides to show you around, and they are available on request. '
