'Anand Bhavan is the historical house, where the Nehru-Gandhi family used to live, once their original mansion, Swaraj Bhavan became the local headquarters for the Indian National Congress. Today, it is a museum that is dedicated to the family. Indira Gandhi donated Anand Bhavan to the Indian government in 1970, and it is here that the Jawahar Planetarium is also situated. The two-storied Anand Bhavan held great significance during the freedom struggle and hence holds a special place in Indias history. There are a number of objects relating to the family that are on display, including many notable books.'
