'Tracing back its origins to the medieval era, the city of Patna undoubtedly has a huge store of cultural and historic heritage. The Patna Museum is proof of this. Also known as Jadu Ghar the museum was established in 1917, during British rule in India. The buildings marvelous combination of the Mughal and Rajput architectural styles is just one of its attractions. Numerous artifacts and sculpted articles dating back to the Gupta and Maurya eras are displayed in its galleries. It also houses a canon from the First World War.
