'Jallianwala Bagh is a public garden of huge national and historic significance, as this is the site where British imperial forces had brutally massacred a number of unarmed locals who had gathered to celebrate Punjabi New Year. To commemorate this day and event, the government built a memorial here and named it after the incident. Spread across over six acres, this is yet another holy shrine for the Sikhs. It is a huge tourist attraction as well, as many Indians and international tourists visit the site to pay their respects and commemorate the fallen. Walking through the park is eerie and fascinating, all at once.'
