'Lal Bagh Palace, constructed between 1886 and 1921, is among the finest examples of architecture in the city. The construction of this palace was carried out in three phases starting in 1886. In 1921, it was under the reign of Tukoji Rao Holkar III that its final phase was wrapped up. The palace reflects European-style architecture, with an English library consisting leather armchairs, baroque dining rooms, a bedroom for the Queen, and a Renaissance-style room comprising ripped sofas. Its rose garden was once considered to be the best in the country. The entrance a replica of the Buckingham Palace in London.'
