In a word, excellent! Room was very well equipped, had quality cotton linen on a very comfortable bed, a decent shower with L’occitane shower gel, a Nespresso coffee machine, and very well insulated windows. Staff brilliantly friendly and helpful, breakfast one of the best we’ve had in all our travels! Home made breads, pastries, yoghurts, jams and wide selection of cooked options, freshly squeezed orange juice and lovely coffees. Dining area, especially the glass roofed area, very tastefully decorated, as is the whole hotel, which is maintained impeccably. Perfect location for a weekend exploring Oslo.

Excellent modern international hotel with friendly, helpful staff and a stupendous buffet breakfast - with a separate and lavish gluten-free section. Room well-equipped. Location convenient, close to the Royal Palace and within easy walking distance of the sights.

I stayed in a budget room with a very tiny bathroom. Room was not roomy at all. Thon requires that your hotel stay be pre-paid. Traditional credit cards' authorization methods provide sufficient protection for the merchant. There is no business value to pre-pay hotel stays in advance. This is just greed on the part the Thon.

On arrival we were greeted with an energy shot drink which was amazing! Think it had beetroot, cayenne and ginger so was 'hot' and packed a punch! We were upgraded to a Business room. It was a lovely room with a huge bathroom. It overlooked the tram but with windows closed it was quiet. On the same level was a lovely lounge with free tea, coffee and even trail mix. There was rarely anyone in the lounge so we found it a lovely spot to sit and look out over the rooftops of Oslo. Bed was super comfy with lovely sheets and fluffy light doona. The under floor heating in the bathroom was the only warmth we needed and we actually turned it down to very low. Breakfast was the best we had in Norway - so much variety! The lady who worked there was lovely, pointing out the brown cheese cookies and other unusual things they had on offer. They had lots of healthy options - fruit, granola, yoghurt, and so many choices of cheeses, fish, hot foods, etc. There was a range of different energy shots. And the bread - oh my goodness why is the bread in Norway so good - it was amazing! Doughy in the middle but crispy on the outside. We loved this hotel and were disappointed that we were moved to Hotel Bristol when we went back to Oslo. I highly recommend Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Oslo.

A nice welcome from the staff, breakfast had plenty of choices and the food was very good. Staff at breakfast friendly and always ken to top up my coffee! Room was comfortable but one slight niggle is that the room temperature didn't seem to be able to be adjusted.
