Located on Robson Street gives good access to Stanley Park and the Granville Island areas. Plenty of places to eat including Forage which is good but a little overpriced when one remembers to add excessive tips. Staff are great but our room (212) was in need of refurbishment as it was looking rather shabby and the bathroom is in need of total replacement with a walk in shower instead of the dangerous in bath shower.

The hotel room was simply awful. The furniture was old and damaged, The wardrobes were tiny and were fitted very badly to the degree that they came off their runners. We had to get the door handle re-tightened on the bathroom door as it was falling off. The lifts were really old and juddered and you couldn't see which floor you were on as the light system on the panel didn't work (it did above the doors). We asked for a different room and even though there were rooms available we were not offered an alternative room unless we paid more for it. This may be a 4 star hotel but it is more like a 2 star. It was one of the worst stays we have had in years.

This hotel is at the Stanley Park end of Robson Street, great for walking to Downtown sites and activities. To get there from the airport take the Canada line train to Central Vancouver station. Then, I suggest take a taxi to the hotel, we walked and it was a long way with cases. Only had breakfast on the last day in ‘The Forage’ and it was very good Room was clean and tidy, well serviced every day. Enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect to access the sightseeing spots on foot, or the public transportation stations. Nice restaurants and cafes were in the walkable distance from the hotel. The neighbouring area was safe even at night time.
