I stayed here for a night last week. We were disappointed. Poor value for the price (more than $300 US). Definitely the least exciting of all our stays throughout Italy. Room on the floor above the lobby overlooking a rooftop, not great. I originally selected for the rooftop bar and proximity to Termini station. The weather was so-so, and the exterior portion of the rooftop bar with the actual view of the cathedral was closed. Don't expect to eat on the rooftop unless the weather is good (not for off-season travel). We ate inside. Food was mediocre. We caught the end of the lunch shift after a long day of travel, and the full menu wasn't available. The staff were having a meeting up in the corner of the restaurant and the male senior manager was literally yelling at some of the female members of his team. Very disappointing, and I felt awful for them to experience such abuse at work. If I treated my employees that way, I would expect to be fired.

Comfortable rooms, spacious lobby and great location. The Hive is located in a quaint neighborhood with restaurants walking distance, close to shopping and felt safe. I would definitely stay here again. We frequented a local restaurant every day (11 of us) call Cafe Washington - highly recommend!

Great hotel in a great location! Stayed for 2 nights and had no complaints! It’s a short walk from the main train station and really close to most of the main attractions - Trevi Fountain, Colosseum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps etc! Bed is very comfortable and had 2 great nights sleep!

Underwhelming experience, stayed with my x2 children and had to ask 3 times over 5/6 hours for someone to come and make up the sofa bed so my son could sleep. Staff are clearly struggling with the vast number of customers coming and going. The rooms are clean with large bathrooms and views hit and miss. It’s a big practical hotel close to the main train station and a 15 min walk to the Colosseo. The spa IS NOT included in the room price and a VERY expensive extra! There’s a roof top restaurant although this too is overpriced - you’re better off going to one of the more authentic Italian restaurants on the surrounding streets. I personally wouldn’t stay here again, but if you want a decently-priced room in the centre of Rome and don’t plan on spending much time in your hotel then this ticks most boxes. Be aware that the hotel concept is that as many things as possible are hexagonally-shaped (like that of a bee’s honeycomb) makes for a VERY confusing layout - definitely would not want to be in this hotel if there was a fire as I’d never find my way out!

The place was nice, had a weird layout but maybe just to get to my room, was a bad smell in the room on arrival but was sorted quickly. The room were spacious not fitted with a coffee machine which was not ideal. The gym is not free and SPA is pricey.
