Located atop a ridge, The Hermitage Kanatal is framed against a serene Rausli forest. Peering through which are sweeping views of the snow capped Himalayan peaks on the one side, and deep blue mountain valleys on the other. It is a tidy and cozy little holiday retreat. Unpretentious and uncomplicated, right down from its owners and staff to its services and décor, the place exudes welcoming warmth, an endearing charm and true hospitality at its simplest best.

You can almost miss The Hermitage, ubiquitous on the Chamba-Mussoorie highway. We did, as we were carrying internet pictures of the property in our minds. But once you enter and walk across to the rear sitout, you relate to these pictures and appreciate the open spaces. The front of the property faces a valley while the rear looks into a forest. There are lots of reviews already posted. So, not much to add. The owner Lez Bhatia is a wonderful host and a great conversationalist. The property is clean, the rooms are comfortable, though a bit overpriced and the electric bed warmers are a very thoughtful idea. There is not much choice for eating out in the area. This was okay with us since the service and staff are excellent at the hotel.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning ambience of your resort, which perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the surroundings. The food at your resort was truly outstanding. Each meal was a culinary delight, and we appreciated the variety and quality of dishes offered. The dining experience was made even more enjoyable by the warm and attentive service provided by your staff. Speaking of the staff, I must commend Mr. Sarvesh for his professionalism and exceptional hospitality throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we needed and was always ready to assist us with a smile. His courteous and helpful demeanor truly enhanced our overall experience at your resort. Thank you once again for managing such a remarkable property and for creating a memorable experience for us. We look forward to returning to The Hermitage Kanatal in the future and will gladly recommend your resort to our friends and family.

Excellent staff, food and owners! They made extra arrangements to allow my online work to take place smoothly and it was a very pleasant experience and very much appreciated. The manager and owners of the place are very nice and helpful. Wonderful meeting them :) The only thing I can say is that some of the rooms on the top floors may be very close to each other so there may be some noise from neighbors; however, another room I moved to on the bottom floor was just excellent and very private without this issue. So I would check in advance if you could book a more private suite. If you are late to book these may not be available, but still a good place to stay. The top floors have very high speed fiber internet which most other places/hotels in the region may not have (most use a mobile data connection or a dish connection that is dependent on the weather) so for those looking to work remotely this is a an excellent facility.

It was a very nice experience to be at Kanatal. The team is too much supportive and making good feel for vacations. And the jungle safari was awesome. Host ..Abhishek ,kulveer ,, Rashmi Soniya ,abhiraj...and happy hub team..
