The stay was actually good but from September my deposit of 700e hasn’t been returned. They claimed it was sent, in December after fighting with my bank I received an apology from hotel saying mistake was made. Still waiting in December 22 for a call back and my money returned. Be careful

Wonderful stay at the Tangla

My husband and I came to stay here for my birthday. The hotel is a little way outside Brussels but there is a very efficient underground with a stop near the hotel. It took less than 15 minutes to arrive right in the centre of the city. When we arrived there was a little wait before they found our booking but the manager came out to apologise and gave us a voucher for 2 free drinks at the bar. Our room was large, spotlessly clean and had windows that opened so you didn't have to have the air-conditioning on all the time. The bed was large and comfortable with nice bedding and the bathroom had plenty of large fluffy towels. The toiletries were L'Occitan de Provence and were renewed every day. There were also robes and slippers. We had booked breakfast and this was exceptional. It was buffet style and had everything you could want. I love honey and they had an actual honeycomb! My husband had the hot breakfast and said it was very nicely cooked. One of the draws of this hotel to us was that it had a pool and sauna. We used them everyday and we were both very impressed by the cleanliness. I have never seen such a spotlessly clean pool and changing rooms. The reception staff were very helpful answering any queries and they lent us umbrellas to use during our stay. We had a wonderful stay; we could not fault this hotel

The good : very clean throughout hotel , nice spacious room, friendly staff. The not so good : expensive for drinks and food. The Bad : the food ( although breakfast buffet was to be fair decent) Overpriced and very substandard in their evening meal options. Very disappointing!! * see pic of my “pizza” that I had to wait almost an hour for in bar. Another minor downside - an overpowering “ fragrance “ pumped through the vents in the main areas of hotel, made me quite nauseous tbh !! I was joining my husband here on his business conference, so probably wouldn’t choose here again given those disappointments and it’s not in centre of Brussels .

My father passed away and I had to go asap. I stayed there as my regular hotel was not available. The location is not great, apart from the shopping Center close by it is not close to anything. My room was quiet but the first room I was given had an absolute filthy sink. The second room was better but I was not feeling confident about the cleanliness. the decor is very much old China style .To top it all I asked for a wake up call and it did not ring. The phone was broken somewhat. Fortunately I has an alarm on my phone also. The pool is nice but not very practical for lap swimming. The hotel was practically empty .

We specifically asked for a bath when booking this hotel. No message came back to say that wasn’t possible in the room we booked. When we arrived, we were told that only the suites have baths. The room they gave us was small, dark and dingy. Not even 3 star, let alone 5!! They would not upgrade us without paying a huge amount more- despite us being returning customers and knowing we are visiting a poorly elderly Mum. They ‘kindly’ offered us a full refund, if we wanted to stay elsewhere. We had driven from the U.K., and this was at 9.30 at night! Nice. The girls on the desk were lovely and just doing their job- the manager (not present) not so much! Very poor. We have now accepted the suite at an extra £120 per night - on top of the £780 we have already paid for 4 nights. If we cancelled the entire booking, and re-booked it would be cheaper, but unfortunately we have already paid. The hotel is empty. We are returning customers, this was really REALLY poor customer service. Not impressed! Avoid!!!
