Room was very nice. Had everything plus that we needed. I would gladly stay again with them. Rooms were quiet and dark to help recover from jet lag.

starting with the reception....5-7 desk, but only 1 receptionist...result long queue.... 2nd.: i asked receptionist to split a 2 night stay in 1&1 for 2 person...mission impossible ...finally the room...room number 721,..never thought to find a perfectly rocked down room in 2024...bathroom, ..sleeping area...not refurbished since 30 years at least...

No room service/ No restaurant Canceled flight and Hotel Steigenberger booked. Completely understaffed at 9:30 pm and computers playing up. Room very nice. Need to get new management who are able to run a Hotel. Wouldn’t want have booked the Hotel myself.

In order to get full speed internet in this hotel you are forced to join their loyalty program, for that alone they deserve maximum 2 stars. Besides that: rooms are comically small (although it’s hard to imagine that real estate is particularly expensive there as the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere) Shuttle busses to the airport run somewhat patchy Breakfast has an decent selection, but quality is very mediocre

I booked a night at the Steigenberger for my last night in Germany to get a good rest before the long flight home to the US. The free door-to-door airport shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes was very good, although very busy in the morning when I left. It's the choice of many airline air crews, so that's a sign it's pretty decent - they are experts on all the world's hotel airports, after all. Check in was slow, they have 5 check in points but only one was manned. There was also a specialist check in desk for air crew, and the girl manning that checked in one aircrew member, then stood and watched the queue of ten people checking in at the 'normal' desk and did not offer to assist her lone colleague there. When I got to the front of the queue at last, the lone girl was very helpful and spoke good English, and gave me an upgrade to the Executive Tower to make up for my long wait. The rooms there were outstanding, comfortable, quiet and large, with very good WiFi. It was a weekend visit, so the Restaurant Unterschweinstiege at the hotel was closed, and I had to make do with bar food, but they gave me a voucher for a free drink which was nice. The bar food was pretty good, so I didn't starve. I tried out the pool and fitness centre, and that was very good, then sat on a sun lounger to watch the planes coming in and out of the airport from the top floor of the gym while I dried off. The pool is cool and refreshing, but often full of very noisy children so pick your visit time with care. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, and set me up for my journey. I really liked the Steinberger and will stay there again when I fly from Frankfurt.
