For a 3 day visit to Madrid we wanted a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, lounge and kitchen. It was exactly as described, in excellent condition and in a good central location. Because of its location the noise from the streets went on into the early hours

Very clean well positioned apartment. Staff very helpful, including when an appliance didn’t work. It was also good value. This is the young happening part of Madrid - lots going on all the time and endless choice of eateries. But couldn’t hear the street noise from the apartment so a good night sleep was had.

This was my 2nd time at Slow Suites Gran Via and it was not a disappointment, booked the weekend away as a present for my wife and everything was spot on, everything worked and the apartment was the perfect base for exploring Madrid, we may do Seville next...

Slow Suites Gran Via was a disappointment. Its location is fabulous, but they just didn't seem ready for business. There was only a make-shift reception located around the corner from the actual property and the poor fellow that was there to check you in appeared to be running back and forth. He was not reliably in any one place. The television in the room was did not have proper reception. The maintenance fellows response was that it was broken and couldn't be fixed (!). The air conditioning was very weak, so we had to swelter through the night. Mind you... the inadequacy of the room didn't get in the way of us having a great time in Madrid... but next time I'll choose somewhere else.

I made some comments about the rude receptionist, who threw down the pen and sighed when we enquired about some travel arrangements, on Booking.Com platform. Unfortunately, rather than the managerial staff responding, we had her other colleague who checked us in, deflecting by accusing us of being difficult guests. So I guess it is our word against hers. But the hotel has lost an excellent oppourtunity to rectify and potentially improve an important aspect of hotel service. Why arent the managerial staff responding to complaints..The staff concerned heaped praises on their impeccable services which apparently have not attracted any negative remarks..To improve, an insight and appreciation for criticism is essential..anyway wish the hotel and its staff well.
