Pros: The location is great, close to the river walk, loops, Cloud Gate and shopping. The front desk team is professional and helpful. The river view is good but not as good as that from the London House. The room is spacious. The food/drink items at its cafe are fairly priced for a hotel. Ppl working on the Link Cafe are efficient. Cons: The Internet is slightly slow The limitation on how/where to spend the destination fee is odd. It can’t be spent on the departure date, even for your breakfast. If some of the hotel restaurants that accept the credit are close to host private events, you are out of luck to spend your credit on a meaningful meal. The air conditioner is noisy. No rooftop bar

Lovely spot, big-city price, with just a few odd features.

Nice and quiet with lovely view. I do not often stay in large cities, so I dont know if the price is competitive for the area: for me, it seemed exorbitant. Central "round" bar and its staffers were terrific. Nice chairs in the guest room, excellent drapes, and it was terrific that the coffeemaker was in a logical location and already plugged in. There were a few things I might wish had been different: The public spaces are all finished in wood and all dimly lit: trying to locate the signs for the restrooms and elevators was challenging. My room had multiple electrical outlets, but the ones in the bases of the bedside lamps were somehow "loose:" plugs simply didnt stay plugged in. The shower floor is very slippery, and the shower lacks a "landing place" for a wet washcloth. The cord on my hairdryer was 12' long!! There is an odd room furnishing: it appears to be a mini-fridge, but it is locked. There is a long sign on the front that at first appears detailed, but reads oddly, and neither explains what it is nor how to unlock it. Seems to me that it either IS a fridge, and should not be locked, or it is NOT a fridge, and either should be removed from the room, or should have an explanation of what it is and how to unlock it.

Most relaxing hotel experience in downtown chicago.

Best experience downtown Chicago so far! So walkable to shopping and the amazing Riverwalk right outside the hotel. Angel at Check-In was so helpful and welcoming. Juan at the Chi Bar so incredibly friendly and offered tips for our morning timing to get ahead of the crowd & enjoy the river dyeing. The room was so spacious and the bed so comfortable. We requested a river view room and it was just so scenic of beautiful Chicago. The breakfast was a delicious variety of Sweet and Savory including all the favorites but especially delicious was the Salmon & Capers & the warm sauced bread pudding. Starbucks ladies so friendly and high energy. I enjoyed my Starbucks in the pool room on the 7th floor and was so excited to see out the window the prettiest view of Lake Michigan combined with the Riverwalk. The pool & dry sauna both clean and relaxing. Dinner at Shula’s was fantastic! A seat with a view of the city lights, service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We had the oysters and cowboy steaks cooked perfectly.. Jennifer & William at checkout were so happy to hear our time was well spent and answered any questions I had about my bill and reminded me to get my souvenir from the gift shop. Thank you Sheraton Grand we will be back!

A GUEST SERVICE employee at her BEST!

My husband and I were flying in from FL to celebrate our Grandchildren’s Birthdays, who were coming up from downstate for a weekend in the City. I wanted to plan just a little surprise party for them and was FORTUNATE enough to happen on to a Guest Service employee, Ms. SUZANNE, who was a WONDERFUL help. She facilitated the balloon company( Party city), the bakery for the cake(Paris Baguette-owner, Sherry), a refrigerator (for the cake) Champagne and chocolate covered strawberries- that the GRANDS thought were the BEST! She was able to upgrade our room to have more space for the PAR TAY and even gave each child a “treat bag” from the Sheraton! AND Otto, the Bellman, facilitated delivery of said items to the room for the SURPRISE! To say that Suzanne went OVER AND ABOVE in her guest service role is an UNDERSTATEMENT. She also called the day before our arrival to reiterate the plans and the day after we got home to make sure everything was satisfactory. It was like having the BEST PRIVATE PARTY PLANNER. The hotel staff was ALL VERY helpful and the DOORMAN was also extraordinary‼️ This superior HOSPITALITY will bring us back to this hotel. Thanks again to Suzanne and the Sheraton- You are treating your guests with CARE! PS- adult children also loved having Starbucks on site AND the quickest most efficient room service!
