I visited Shang Palace with my family during the Hakkasan promotion. It was lovely both the food and service. Nikhil who heads the F&B operations at the hotel was very cooperative with our requests and dietary restrictions. Everyone in the team ensured we have a delightful and personalised service and the food was excellent.

Excellent hotel in the heart of Delhi. Spacious room with all the amenities. We requested late check out and got it. The staff are also very helpful. Breakfast at Tamra was excellent. Dinner at Shang Palace was very good. Service was above par. We were also offered a welcome drink with a fruit platter. Highly recommend this hotel when visit Delhi. Don’t bother to look for any other hotel when visiting Delhi

We visited this propery in May this year to try their new dining offering,Le Petit Chef.This was getting quite popular across Social Media and I hope seen a couple of these videos across face book and youtube and wanted to try out the experience ourselves.The lowest cost was 4800 plus taxes per person which included 4 courses.We choose to go with it.I called the hotel in the evening to book the table,and they redirected my call to the restaurant. They asked some advance money from me to book the table to which I declined and they took the booking by my word.I was asked to arrive by 7 20 as the show starts in 7 30 and we would be late.We managed to reach there in time.The Le Petit Chef restaurant was located in first floor where many staffs were waiting at the entrance to guide us to our table.This was actually second part of the show/story and is called Le Petit Chef and friends(other chefs visible on the show.It was a 3 d dining experience and there were 3d projectors above each table,placed with utmost precision for diners to resemble small cartoons,characters and other objects were moving and playing on the table with sound effects and it feels almost real.The room was dimly decorated and there was seating for almost 30 people.However only 12 of us were there for the show which shows despite HEAVY ADVERSTISING,THEY COULDN'T ATTRACT MUCH DINERS.The experience however was worth the money spent,and is a must try for atleast one time for anyone in Delhi.Its not the same old fine dining experience you are gonna get.Its so much more than that.The show began and there one person who was called the host of the show(ironical as he didn't host or comp any of our meals)who explained in details of the story and each dish we were served later.The show began and after some videos and music in our plate,most of us were clicking videos,our first course came which was a chicken salad.It tasted delicious with the chef pouring some smoke like seasoning on top of it to give it a good look and feel.Then we were served the ravioli,which was essentially wheat but tasted nice.Then it was time for main course which was Steaks and fries.The fries were served in a toy tractor which looked very unique and appetizing.At last it was a fancy dessert to end the night,served in a white coating which later on the server set on fire which lead me to a jumpscare,and when the fire lit,the main dessert was visible.It was something similar to tiramisu and was nice.Between each course,stories of le Petit Chef and friends was playing in our plate and then it was paused and a another course was served.The Chef and the Chinese looking girl with a rose on her head,also came to each table to click pictures with each guest.Overall it was a nice and unique experience and a must try for delhities.This will bring more revenue and highlight to the property if they can market it properly.So far the idea has not taken off as such we saw as half tables were empty,but we hope situation changes in near future as it is a good initiative and a good value for money.
