Hidden gem of jaipur.. a place of serenity with the heritage and culture of Rajasthan.. Truly a hidden gem, i want it to get highlighted more and more.. The ambience, the culture, the hospitality it was all beyond my expectations and imagination.. Had a lovely evening.. would surely suggest people to visit this one.. I gave location a three star coz its not in a place where you can reach directly.. Its not just shahpura house.. its a SHAHI HOUSE

This hotel has great potential. This is a tourist bus hotel. It is a former royal residence converted into a hotel. The hotel is owned by the BJP minister for Jaipur ( who coincidentally owns a beautiful dog named Bruno). The hotel communal areas are stunning. The rooftop restaurant food is average to good, with a special mention to Bharti, who took great care of us in the restaurant. Note, there are no European food options available. We were very careful what we ate due to reading many previous reviews about food poisoning. The breakfast is fair, there is an omelette station plus a minimal array of both european and local choices. The fruit juice is not fresh, it is canned. There is no proper ventilation in the breakfast room, so you exit the breakfast room smelling like fried egg. Now to the rooms. Do not book a suite at this hotel, the term is misleading and is the lowest room category. You will find yourself in an adjacent building which may or may not have been the servants quarters previously. Instead book a Shahpura Suite at least. Furnishings are very tired, towels are more grey than white ( with stains) and there is a general feeling of total lack of maintenance and cleanliness. The first room we were given, the toilet seat was broken and sink area not clean - our tour operator - VacationIndia.com, intervened and for our second night we were given a better room with balcony overlooking the pool. Cleanliness of the upgraded room was still only marginal. Again, this hotel has immense potential, but currently is used as a tour bus hotel. The staff try , but there is only so much they can do alone. We have stayed in many hotels in India over 23 days and this was by far our worst experience. We would definitely NOT choose to stay at Shahpura House again.

Overall it was nice and calm stay..we enjoyed the hospitality and prompt service from staff. Definitely visit again this palace and feel exuberant experience. Pool evening experience was amazing. Every evening there is puppet and rajasthani dance show. Amazing Hospitality.Well trained Satff and fantastic food .Loved ND very much enjoyed stayed 3 nights at beautiful Heritage Hotel.Mr.Aakash keep served us excellent service, see you soon.

With all my heart- The best place in India!!!! The service was fantastic, hospitality - amazing. Hotel located in quiet place but no so far from center. Our room was very clean and nice furnished. Breakfast was full different choices - from indian to europe cousine. We definitely will come back to this place!
