We booked this hotel because we wanted stay near Arlanda express station in the city as we had an early morning flight. We took flybursanna from airport and bus passed by the hotel. We only need walk 5 mins from bus station or Arlanda express station to hotel We reached hotel around 5-6pm. Checked in was fast. Our room was underground and it’s located in the corner/ almost end of the building. Walking from lobby to room was far and there were stairs along the way. I requested for a room change but being told that no room was available due to full occupancy. We left with no choice but to accept the room for our entire 3 night stay. A staff called Stanley was friendly and helpful. He knew our desperation and explain to my husband of the situation. We saw him everyday during our stay and he would greet and talk to us. We are not used to stay or live underground. Despite able seeing light from window but we felt it’s like dungeon. Room size, toilet and bed were ok but our room location was not ideal for us. Breakfast was not bad but same everyday. A Service crew called Harida ( a nice lady from Thailand with full smile) was very friendly and helpful . She asked us if we need help. She helped us to get 2 fried eggs with soy sauce. 😀. It’s just too bad that she told us it’s her last day. We informed the hotel lobby that we would like to have takeaway breakfast on our check out day as we had an early flight. They packed the breakfast for us which was good. I would rate my stay with a better rating if I could get a better room.

My partner and I booked a 4 night city break to Stockholm and chose the Scandic Grand Central after reviewing a number of other hotels in the area. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the central station and was ideally located for exploring the city on foot. The room was spacious and clean, however a little more clothes hanging would have helped, but this is only a minor point. Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. There is a luggage room to use before check in and on the day of checkout which was really useful for us. The hotel had a small gym and sauna which looked good but we didn't get the opportunity to use. Breakfast at the hotel was superb, with a wide variety of options available from breads, cheeses, meat, salad, hot food, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and coffee. This certainly set us up for the day exploring the culture in Stockholm. Given the location and features of this hotel, we would highly recommend it when staying in Stockholm.

Great location and staff - Scandic-level of breakfast which means excellent. On this particular journey we had an incident and misunderstanding about cleaning - yet its the first time ever and it was taken care of. This is our favorite non-boutique hotel in Stockholm!

Lovely Hotel, stayed with my mother and we had a family room which they had kindly made into 2 single beds for us (rather than a double) which meant we didn't have to use the sofa as a bed - the addition of the sofa and seating area made the room feel very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was great too - small and no bath, but a larger than average shower and the decor/facilities were great. Only one negative is that you have to ask the day before for your room to be cleaned, and we forgot to do this, but the cleaning staff we say on our floor were great and gave us new towels when we asked. Breakfast is plentiful and they have a great "coaster" system where you can reserve your table and turn it over to say it's free after (though a couple of old people didn't quite get it and tried to take our table, but it was fine) Great selection of hot and continental foods available including a vegan section. Staff we encountered were very helpful and accommodating. The location is very close to the main Stockholm station, and the Arlanda Express, which we were grateful of after a long journey. I honestly can't fault the hotel - was great and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was large, clean and had everything we needed for our stay, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/hand wash/hand lotion/tea/coffee/hairdryer and safe. The hotel reception staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Bar staff friendly and accomodating when we asked for a cocktail that was not on the menu. Breakfast was like nothing I have seen before, they had a table for breads, meats, cheeses & salads. One for hot breakfast including bacon, chorizo, boiled & scrambeled eggs, beans, meatballs. Another for cereals/yoghurt, overnight oats & fruit. One for pancakes, waffles, pastries and all the drinks/juices you could possibly think of and this included options for vegan/lactose intolerant. I would highlyrecommend staying at Sacndic Grand Central. Its a few streets away from the train station and a max 10 min walk to Gamla Stan.
