Just back from a lovely stay at the Savoy hotel and bar. We (2 adults, 2 kids, little baby) shared a junior suite, which was small but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Only slight niggle was the shower room which had a nasty drain smell (we just opened the window and left it that way), and also a non obscured window pane with no shower curtain over it etc... Surrounding buildings definitely had a view of our shower! Oh and worth noting no air con, which might have been annoying if it was hotter, and no fridge in the room. Staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back if we return to Copenhagen

Amazing Staff and Management, Warm Cozy and Authentic

I'm just back from a wedding stay with my wife and close friends and we had the good fortune to stay in this authentic, warm and friendly hotel. The main reason for writing this review was the Hotel Owner Kharim who was exceptionally helpful when it came to giving us local advice on places to eat and visit. He gave us a great overview of the neighbourhood but more importantly left us feeling like we had known each other for years! The other member of staff ever present and ever helpful was Racxina (I hope I have spelt that right) who was again ever helpful and ever present. We loved the Hotel and I would find it difficulty to return to Copenhagen and not stay here again as it was such a fabulous experience. The wedding and the weekend were first class but so was the service, welcome and warmth of the Savoy Hotel. Thank you Kharim and Racxina for adding to the occasion

If you're considering this terrible "hotel" I would seriously start looking at alternative options. I was due to stay at the property from a Saturday to Tuesday. My flight was delayed so I was later arriving in Copenhagen that I expected. I arrived at the hotel at 00.05 and the whole place was closed up! There is an "out of hours" phone number that nobody answers. I was standing outside for 30 mins in the freezing cold and snow, as there is a gate you can't get through without a keycard. Thankfully, another guest was eventually entering and I got inside. Once inside, the reception was totally locked up, not one staff member was onsite. It's a very strange set up. There is even a sign on their lift saying not to use it after 4pm as you could get stuck and if you do, the maintenance team are gone home by then so nobody can help you - is that not laughable??? It indicates nowhere nor did it state in my confirmation emails you can't check-in after midnight. Even still, the out of hours phone number should be monitored at all times. I waited until 2am and eventually found somewhere else to stay. AVOID AVOID AVOID THIS AWFUL SERVICE-LESS PROPERTY!!!

We booked to stay at the Savoy, with an early check in. When we arrived we were told that our early check in wasn't on the system and to come back in a few hours. We did so and when we came back there was a different lady at the desk. She had not been informed about the early check in and asked the lady who had helped us before if anyone had requested an early check in today. The lady was about to say no until she saw us sitting in front of her, to which she said yes. However, we still did not have our rooms. The lady did not apologise for not relaying it to her colleague and instead made us wait '5 mins' - it was actually 30. Further, she told us she would upgrade us for the inconvenience but then said, sorry, there are no upgraded rooms available. Maybe don't say it then! Even after that, we weren't offered free breakfast or anything. When we finally got our keys, we went upstairs and the keys did not work. We finally got into our room and we were shocked. First of all, we got the most basic room for our stay and YET, we had been downgraded. The 'tiny room' we requested was without a desk and was hugely unsantiary. There was hair on the bed, the hanging area was dusty and the floor was covered in stains. The worst part was the smell from the toilet, which clearly had not been cleaned. Within 5 minutes of arriving, we knew that we needed to leave and sought for hotels elsewhere. Upon booking a new hotel, we left however, when asking for a refund the receptionist and the manager refused to give us a refund. Despite us expressing our shock of being downgraded to a smaller, filthy room. Finally they conceded. We payed over £600 for 4 nights for these rooms and I would not even pay £100 for the state they were in. Do not go to this hotel unless you want to be thoroughly let down.

We stayed here for two nights in a twin room. The room was small but adequate. The main thing was that it was really clean, the shower was powerful and the bathroom was also clean. The beds were super comfortable. There was free filter coffee in the morning if you didn't want breakfast, and iced water. There was a nice looking bar area but we didn't use this. We were able to leave our bags on the last day. I really liked this hotel though because the staff were so helpful and friendly, particularly the receptionist with the short blonde hair. She answered all our questions and we had lovely chats - I hope she got to ride the paternoster!!
