A very good hotel, located in a quiet district yet just 5 min walk from KaDeWe. Plenty of small restaurants around. Good breakfast with extremely accommodating and friendly staff (especially the waitresses). Also the reception staff is very helpful (Mr Ottoman, Ms Witkiewicz). Sauna is great! I think we got all we needed! We also parked downstairs (small parking but we got lucky). Thanks for all, we and our guests all thought this is a great location should we want to visit Berlin again.

Do you like paying for AC that can not be turned off and can only be set to hot, or hotter? Do you like the challenge of trying to sleep right next to a 24/7 fire station with sirens so loud they rattle the windows? Are you the type of person that enjoys a bit of exhibitionism? Do you like being lied to three times in a single conversation by the staff? Do you like a game of hide and seek with the manager who doesn’t show up when he is supposed to be working and won’t speak to you on the phone, because they were called out on those lies? If you answered yes to the above, then BOOK NOW to ensure disappointment! Otherwise, please take your hard earned money, please book elsewhere to avoid the hassle of cancelling any remaining stay and moving to a better hotel. Lastly a footnote to Mr Sebastian Weidtkamp, General Manager, Sana Berlin Hotel. Please, I implore you… book a night at any other hotel, for both you and your font desk staff. Experience and learn how a proper hotel is run, how customers should be treated, how there is no need for your staff to lie to customers. Your staff should be ashamed for their behaviour, as should you.

Very big rooms, but there is some scope of improvement. For E.g, I was unable to find how to reach the reception. There was no information in the room. The bathroom was good and very big. There is a lot of cupboard space and safe as well. I had to extend the stay for a night and the hotel organised but there was bit confusion, though it was sorted out later.

The first room we were allocated had a massive chunk of concrete missing from the shower floor. We were then offered a smaller lesser quality room which we said not thanks too, we then were offered another room and then we were told it wasn't available any longer and eventually got checked into a room (the same as we had booked and paid for) after 1 hour. One staff in particular was actually directly rude to us about not accepting the smaller room. This was really the only interaction we had with the staff over the four days as they are only really on the reception desk. No other staff member really interacted with us at all! The pool is so tiny only one person can swim in it at one time, but the spa was lovely - obviously be aware that men are going to be naked in it! Great little coffee machine in the room and a mini fridge which was also useful. It is quite a walk to the main sites - around one hour, but once you work out the U Bahn this is not an issue Good location, but the hotel is similar to a good premier inn in quality so be prepared for this.

Nice hotel, clean and not too crowded. We booked a suite, on arrival were informed that it meant apartment! We had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge/diner with open plan kitchen, which was handy to keep drinks in the fridge cool as it was unexpectedly hot in Berlin. There is no air con, but windows can open on slant or wide so we managed. Bathrooms were excellent, with towels and hand wash, body lotion, shampoo conditioner and shower gel, but I always prefer my own. Hair drier was good, better than most small ones you get in Europe. The flooring is wooden and seems to need a freshen up as well as the kitchen cupboard doors, nice to have a coffee machine in room . Breakfast was nice and adequate with enough variety, you can ask for anything additionally that you may not see. There’s lactose free and soya milk if you wish and gluten free items. Dinner was nice but could do with more choices if you’re planning a second visit for dinner, as menu seems quite limited. We are on the third floor with lots of trees outside our window which is lovely and only a short walk to the main shopping area. Oh and I’ve never been to a hotel with so much storage in the bedrooms! there is so much space to store your clothes and items so it can stay quite tidy.
