I recently stayed at this hotel and had a positive experience. The hotel was very clean, and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. I appreciated the free hot coffee and tea available in the lobby. The location is great, close to stores and restaurants, making it easy to find places to eat and shop. The lobby's design is beautiful and welcoming. However, the café menu could be improved with more variety. Despite this, I enjoyed my stay and would come back again.

The Garden Place Hotel was a very nice hotel where my wife and I had spent several nights as getaways for different celebrations over the years. We recently went there for our 45th wedding anniversary and were very disappointed in the hotel experience. The hotel seemed run down and not very well maintained. The shower curtain was so long it was dragging on the floor and was a tripping hazard. The cable system not working well and several channels were unwatchable. There were things left in the room from a previous guest and there was toilet paper on the floor in the bathroom behind the door. They had in the past, a very nice buffet breakfast and did away with that. The reason was the pandemic. Now that the pandemic is over, that excuse can no longer be used. They replaced it with a "Cafe" that sells what can best be described as vending machine food. You receive a $10 voucher for breakfast, but that doesn't go very far. We were disappointed that a place we had enjoyed in the past has taken such a fall.

Where to begin. First, the room. Dirty and falling appart. The wall paper was coming off the walls and the carpet could use a good cleaning. The bed was in need of replacement due to the sagging middle to the point that the sheets kept coming off during the night. There is no longer a restaurant and the breakfast is all ala carte. Only the coffee was free. The TV was unconnected at the HDMI interface which caused the TV not to work. The staff were good and helpful. For $200.00 a night was way out of bounds for what we received. $70-$90 would be a better price range. Overall, renovation and furniture replacement is absolutely necessary. It's obvious that not spending on taking care of the place is more important than happy customers.
