I was slightly dubious about the Marriott Park hotel, before arriving after reading the reviews. My partner had a work conference here and I tagged along as a guest, which meant I spent a lot of time in the hotel. Firstly, I had no need to be anxious. The hotel is lovely. There are a couple of niggles here and there but overall it is a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is a grand affair, with a gorgeous lobby, numerous places to eat and drink, which are open late into the night. The room was very spacious, extremely quiet and we had a pool view which was lovely and also offered an impressive view over the city and countryside. The room itself is a little dated. It has the feel of being very grand once upon a time, but the wallpaper is beginning to come away from the walls and there are a few worn or broken areas to items such as mirrors or frames. The bathroom is again a little dated, but lovely and clean. The bed itself is huge and extremely comfortable, we slept very well each night which was also down to how quiet the hotel was. The best part for me, though was certainly the pool and the area and bar surrounding it. When we were here it wasn’t very busy as a lot of the guests were with the conference, so I would quite often have a huge pool to myself. There are plenty of sunloungers, a handy bar and very friendly staff. In terms of location for the hotel, it depends what you’re looking for. It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport and a 25 minute drive into the city centre. So it will cost money to get to the typical tourist places, however as this was a business and relaxing trip for us - it was perfect t. We took a taxi one evening to see Rome at night and the hotel arranged this very quickly for us, no problems at all. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel and we had a very enjoyable stay here.

Stayed here one night before our flight home. Restaurant is ok not great. Pool bar drinks very watered down. The pool is lovely on a hot day. Hotel is nice but rooms are dated and finding an outlet was difficult- no usb and nothing near the bed unless you have a 6ft cord. We went out to a local shopping centre and when we could not find a taxi the hotel was not willing to help call us one. We thought this was unusual for a Marriott. The pool is enough to overlook any flaws.

This is a great hotel and only about a 20 minute cab ride to downtown Rome to see all the sites. The only downside for me was the pool was not open and it was opening the following Monday in which I was already gone by then. There's also a lot of conventions that happen at this hotel so I felt as a traveler on vacation, there were very few of us. I was a Solo Traveler and probably wouldn't have cared about that if I had others in my party. The hotel itself though is extremely well-kept, spacious, and the staff was excellent!!

This was our 4th visit to the Rome Marriott Park and it never disappoints. The staff is absolutely the best - staff at check-in, concierge, room attendant and, especially, the restaurant staff were all excellent. Although the hotel is roughly 30 minutes outside the center (there is a shuttle bus to the center and taxi fares range from 25 to 40 Euro depending on time/traffic); however the hotel and its staff is well worth this small inconvenience.

Old, broken & no one cares.

The entire place from management to electrical sockets needs to be removed & cleaned out. EVERYTHING is falling apart, but what’s worse, no one cares. The general staff are helpful & professional. When reporting issues they try to help but again, nothing gets done. 3 of the 5 cardio machines in the gym don’t work, and they haven’t for some time. Reported but no one cares. Water pressure in the TINY shower is awful….you’d be better splashing yourself from the sink. And again, no one cares. For breakfast the eggs for omelettes comes from pre-bought plastic containers as I watched the “chef” preparing them. The shuttle bus to the city & back is an adventure on a bus whereby the suspension is broken & driver aims for every pothole while texting on his phone. That pretty much sums up this hotel.
