Stayed here during my visit to Navagraha temples, for the price we pay, the hotel is very good to crash for the night. Spacious rooms, clean washrooms, ample parking and decent restaurant. Very close to the Shani temple.

The problem in hotels around a temple is they are all cramped because they come up one after the other with no proper planning. So if you need to get a hotel with some space to breathe you need to look a little further from the temple. This is what I did and I chose this hotel because it looked spacious in the photos on the website and other reviews. I would say I was not disappointed as the hotel had a large lobby with ample space to park. I noticed that several other prominent well known hotels closer to the temple were built edge to edge which I do not prefer. However the temple is a good one kilometer away but this should not be a problem for those who have a vehicle. In any case you need to walk to the temple for at least half a kilometer. At Rs.1500 per day (24 hours) it was not a bad bargain. This is the least sized room with a double bed, air conditioner, tv and a good toilet. But the buffet breakfast at Rs.80 per head was a big letdown. I cannot understand how in Karaikal (though not proper Tamilnadu as it is in Pondicherry), a restaurant could not make idlis and dosas as per South Indian taste. The instant Bru coffee was pathetic as I left the cup after two sips. I did not have lunch and dinner so I cannot comment on these. Otherwise my one day stay (morning to evening) was comfortable.
