Initally the plan was to stay for a day but trust me we extended it and stayed back for 5 days. And the reason is the love that we got there. Best food great Ambiance. The hospitality here is way beyond words. We came back home with memories to cherish. They provide you with multiple options of activities like Horse Riding, Traditional Handblock Printing Workshop, Tracking, Jeep Safari, Yoga, Musical Nights, Pottery Making Workshop and so much more. The place has its own History and Stories that will make you fall in love with. We got a chance to see paintings and art work so rare that people from all around the world come to study it here at Rajmahal Bhinder. Please do visit it atleast once In your life.

Right in the middle of town this palace immediately welcomes you. We were the only guests and were thoroughly spoilt from start to finish. Priyathi discussed everything most carefully from our meals to heritage walks and did everything to make our stay very special. In the evening we were able to enjoy a gin and tonic by a blazing fire and then eat a most delicious three course meal by candlelight. Priyatha ensured that we tried some new dishes which I really liked. The cooking was excellent and cooked spicy according to our tastes. The food was generous and the breakfast really hearty with something new each time. We loved the walk out in the countryside especially. A very lovely surprise was a folding table and seats being suddenly produced so we could sit by the side of a lake and enjoy the peace and wildlife with a fruit juice. The family have carefully thought of ways to help you really enjoy the area. The walks around the town, with a well written information sheet given to you before was most helpful and interesting. This is a property with a happy atmosphere. It’s very well run and most professional. There’s good attention to detail and I appreciated the detailed menu on the table and the clear tariff for the extras. Priyatha is most kind too. She noticed I had a cough and sent hot milk with turmeric and honey to soothe it before sleep. I’m happy to say that it really helped. It’s a friendly welcoming town as well. We loved our stay. It’s a jewel of a place.

Tucked away in the old part of Bhindar, this is a real gem. The hostess Parthvi and her team have perfectly balanced the 'home from home' with the right level of detachment, by which I mean they know when to take a step back and allow their guests some space. Parthvi extends a warm friendly welcome and checks any dietary requirements and will even check the menu is to your liking each day. The food is exceptional and Parthvi will happily share her recipes with you. It is not possible to leave here hungry, as there is always more than enough of every dish available. Each meal is accompanied by a hand written menu and breakfast consists of a number of dishes, all of which are supplied and dinner is three courses - all delicious. Have to mention that the meal supplied for our wedding anniversary was exceptional and thoroughly enjoyable. Parthvi is also happy to share the history of her family and the wonderful old building they care take and which as a guest, you share for a short time. The property is - and rightly so - dated, but the accommodation was spotlessly clean and well kept with comfortable bed and refreshment facilities in the room. The dining room is decorated with historic family related photos. The courtyard is a charming place to dine by candlelight in the evening. The service was efficient and friendly. The trainee waiter was very keen to be of assistance and was always polite and smiling. Everyone here makes you feel welcome and at ease. Things that will live long in the memory, are: shopping in the narrow lanes of Bhindar; lazily scratching the tortoise's head whilst having some relaxing drink in the courtyard; dining in the courtyard by candlelight and drinking chai as a roadside 'cafe' with Parthvi and her father, on our way to see flying squirrels. This venue has so much to offer and yet it is possible to just relax and kick back if that is what you need at the time. Loved Rajmahal Palace, it's staff and Bhindar - will definitely be returning.

This is the place I would love to return to. We were made so welcome here by Parthvi and everyone at the hotel and also in the surrounding area. The accommodation is clean and comfortable, you have all the modern facilities you could wish for, but provided in a building steeped in history. The food was excellent, and so was the coffee! There is plenty to do here; cookery classes, horse riding, yoga, exploring the small town, days out to the Sita Mata, the lake, or Udaipur - or you can just totally relax and enjoy the peaceful environment. We were very sorry not to be able to stay for longer.

The best stay of my Rajasthan trip!

I didn't know what to expect as the taxi wound its way early evening through the narrow streets of Bhinder busy with the buzz of local election fever and the remnants of Divali. At the gates Parthvi welcomed me personally and invited me in to the beautiful courtyard set with tables flickering in candlelight! Magical. I knew I was in for a treat! Parthvi's family built and have lived in this palace for more than 400 years and in the old days the four gates into the property were locked each night and the Maharaj held the keys. Nowadays the gates are always open and the palace very much a living, working part of the small town life. There are school classes held in one of the buildings. My bedroom was on the first floor leading off from a small common sitting room ..the bedroom itself had a window seat overlooking the courtyard which I loved. Everything is provided for you in the rooms, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Parthvi is a marvellous hostess, she has taken on the running and upkeep of this property by opening up the doors to us the lucky public. She and all the staff are delightful, charming and cannot do enough for you. Parthvi herself is a very keen cook and delights in planning and preparing the menus with her chef. As a cook myself I thoroughly enjoyed every dish I was presented with and also discussing and exchanging recipes with her! The following evening myself and the other guests had a cookery class in the gardens with the entire evening meal cooked (and tasted) in front of us. We ate so much during the class we couldn't do the meal justice at the end! Fabulous food. My only regret is that this stay was at the end of my Rajasthan trip and sadly I had just two nights there. The entire family made me feel welcome, I couldn't have felt more at home in such delightful surroundings. I fully intend to return and make it my base to explore more of the area and Udaipur.
