Some of the furniture was in bad condition. Durty carpet in the room. Bad smell—— The condition of the rooms on floor three are poor.

Don’t stay here. They’re HVAC doesn’t work properly. Rooms are cramped, uncomfortable and hot. Staff is rude and insolent.

The hotel was noticeably aged, and the interiors, especially the corridors, fell short of the standards expected of a four-star establishment. Despite having a reservation, our check-in process was frustratingly slow and compounded by unhelpful, slow, and somewhat rude staff. There was a lengthy wait just to reach the front desk, and once there, it took an excessive amount of time to be assigned a room as staff struggled to locate our booking. Moreover, we were told we had to wait even longer because the room wasn’t ready, despite it being 6 o’clock—an unusual time for housekeeping to still be preparing rooms. Given that we had only a day and a half in Oslo, such inefficiencies significantly encroached upon our valuable time. The room we eventually received was mediocre, with outdated furniture and 70s-style carpets. It lacked basic amenities such as slippers, toothpaste, and a coffee maker, which was disappointing from a Radisson hotel, a brand typically known for higher standards. The most disappointing aspect was the significant discrepancy between the high price we paid for a room with a balcony and the actual quality of service and amenities we received. This stark contrast was particularly frustrating given the hotel’s excellent location. Additionally, the service on the second day at the bar on the 21st floor was underwhelming. The staff were unhelpful, cold, and a bit rude. I had hoped to showcase the best of Norway to my cousin from England, and given the high cost, I expected service that would reflect the high standards typically associated with the service industry. Unfortunately, it fell well below those expectations.

This was supposed to be a stop over for the night - before we headed back out of Norway. Our trip had some hiccups and it looked like we wouldn't be able to make it to the hotel on the day of, so we tried calling them and Expedia to cancel it. I am disappointed to say that they did not relent. We ended up having to rearrange for things to make it to Oslo - at 10pm at night. Which meant 8 hrs at the hotel which isn't cheap. Anyway, we made it, check-in was okay - front desk people could have been friendlier. You have to pay for parking - ~$45-50 per night. Also parking is around the whole block - so could ne slight challenge in finding it. Room was standard - like any other hotel. Carpet had stains. Ample towels and amenities were provided. Breakfast was additional ~$20USD. I feel like breakfast should have been included given the price of the hotel - the breakfast was good, plenty of selection for everyone from fresh vegetables, breads, plant based items, eggs, fresh smoothies, juices. This was my favorite part of this hotel. I do wish the hotel could have been more accommodating to our travel emergency.
