The room was dirty and there was a sewage smell, that made us nauseous, coming from the bathroom. Maintenance came and snaked the drain and sprayed a ton of cleaner/air freshener to try and mask the smell but that only made it worse. We did a late check-in so we didn’t receive the type of room we originally requested. There were also loud rolling noises all night from whatever was above our room. Overall it was a pretty lousy experience.

waited 1-1/2 hours for check in as all there Kiosks were down with my handicapped friend who walks with cane, this was very hard on both of us. line was chaotic as it was so long it was hard to find end. no personal to help with check in. not a good first impression. i would not go back. 25 dollars for chair at the pool with 15 dollar Budweisers. this place is very greedy

To anyone reading our review, I would encourage anyone who may be having second thoughts to go ahead and stay at this hotel. All reviews are (allegedly) based upon personal experience and this ours. Having booked to stay at PH over a year ago, and having read the many poor reviews and horror stories beforehand, we nearly cancelled and booked somewhere else, but we are glad we didn't and went ahead. On arrival, check-in took barely 2-3 minutes. Having booked a King Room, we asked if they had a room with a review of the strip and the receptionist swapped us to a Queen Room instead. We did not have to pay extra or bribe the receptionist. Our room number was 2111 and whilst it took 10-15 minutes to locate, the lifts worked ok and we were very pleased with the room allocated. Ok, we had to pay resort fees and a deposit to cover any breakages (not cashed). The room was clean and whilst the window hadn't seen a window cleaner for some time, generally it offered a decent side view of the strip looking up to New York, New York and beyond. Let's be fair, how long do you stay in your hotel room apart from sleeping? Despite all that has been said about the absence of housekeeping, our room was cleaned every day, the beds were made, clean towels provided, with toilet roll and shampoo etc replenished. We also felt safe whilst in our room with none of the alleged incidents previously mentioned taking place. As far as any smells throughout the hotel, based on our experience there weren't any. Ok, part of the hotel is undergoing building work, this was on the way to one of the entrances to the Miracle Mile shops but it took barely 2 minutes to pass and didn't impact on us to any degree. One word of warning and that is the cost of everything, i.e. in the Glass Bar a Whiskey and Coke with bottle of Bud Light cost D32.00 which converted to £25.50, completely over the top and a scandalous rip-off, but this was Vegas after all. The resort fees were indeed a rip-off but we were prepared for that and whilst they were extortionate for very little in return, that is the one continuous complaint we will agree with. PH was ideally situated for either side of the strip. So, don't be put-off by the poor reviews and give PH a try, admittedly we may have just been lucky, nevertheless if you don't give it a go you could end up paying a lot more elsewhere and for what?

Location is absolutely central slap bang in the action which unfortunately means you get all the noise and the riff raff. It was a bit rough at this hotel. Shops were great, restaurants ok. They have closed down the buffet which was disappointing. Room was dull and disappointing, wonky furniture needs upgrade, trickle shower with no pressure, lots of neighbour noise and smells like stale cigarettes. On arrival the last guests trash was in the drawers so the manager came swiftly. Safe was inaccessible too so had another wait for security who arrived after a half hour apologising for the delay due to fighting in the hotel. Not a great start and in no way compares to the luxury of caesars palace. I wouldnt stay here again for sure.

First time back to Vegas in over 10 years. We booked four nights over St Patty's day weekend. Check in was brutal and slow. Should've used the Kiosk. Night 1, the room we booked was not available and they put us in 2 queens. Night 2-4, they did move us to a new king room, but still not what we booked. The rooms' cleanliness were average, definitely not luxury. The elevators werent too bad, for a large hotel. The casino area in nice and clean. Restaurants on site were above average. Good location and very "central" on the strip.
