Whenever we come to Bangkok, Pathunwam princess hotel is our to-go place🌸 It may be 5 star, it may be slightly more expensive than other places even Amari, but the quality and service is 6 stars and soaring🌸 We checked in during the songkran festival and we expected alot of crowd but the front desk settled everything well and professionally. Nanny, our front desk receptionist, was extremely polite and friendly, we were tired after all the travel but she not only assured us that we can check in earlier than expected, she inquired about our well-being and made everything short and sweet, directly to the point. The service crew was awesome, they really do check on you for everything, whenever you look lost or you just stand there for a while not sure what to do, they will jump in to assist you. Of course language is a barrier but ultimately, you can see that they will really do everything or anything they can do to the upmost best. Room was beautiful, we took the corner room. At first there was dust and hair particles but as days go by, the morning cleaning crew cleaned everything up really well so you can clearly tell they really are doing their best to make things clean. The pillows was so soft and the blanket was comfy, air con can go as low as 18 degrees and there is a rain shower installed. Multiple channels available and even YouTube as well or mirror screening. Their breakfast has so many variety, we went down to eat breakfast for 4 days straight and we still found something new. If you can't find something you like, MBK is right connected at 2nd floor and Ground floor. Simply delightful, I can't wait to be back again🌸

Stayed for 5 nights at this hotel. Although the room was not ready when I arrived, kudos to front staff pond who was very pleasant and offered several options. Locationwise the hotel is connected directly to MBK Center with a train station and just across the block is Siam Center and Siam Paragon. Rooms are freshly renovated with modern and stylish interior. In-room sensors detects human presence and activates power. Airconditioning shuts off when unnocupied but works well in cooling promptly. Hallway and room lighting is on point and controls are simple to manage. Housekeeping is efficient and included breakfast is a nice variety of asian and western dishes and has the usual made to cook omelette station. Cafe waitstaff are attentive as well. If you get tired there are multiple dining options within the hotel and the MBK complex itself. Fitness center is complete and has ample equipment. If there is anything management can improve is extending the working hours of their amenities like the gym and pool as they close early. Overall an enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend.

I’ve been staying t this nite, for over 20 yrs now and love the consistency and continual work on upgrading the rooms , and the specially the new butler service. Mhom offered exceptional kind efficient private check in and helped with admin problems I had and generally was so professional ..thankyou Mhom! Great management..convenient for the MBK shopping nd the biggest sunniest pool in Bangkok city! See you again this week!

Corner room staying experience from a wheelchair person's perspective

As always, I thoroughly enjoyed my staying experience at Pathumwan Princess Hotel. This time round, we had booked the Grand Deluxe Corner King room (corner room). I travel with an electric wheelchair. Thus, from a wheelchair person's perspective, the room was a pleasant stay except for a few tiny hiccups. The corner room is definitely larger in size but the bathroom seemed smaller compared to the Grand Deluxe King room (GDK). I also somehow felt that the King size bed in the GDK room seemed larger and taller than the King bed in the corner room. We did enquire about the difference, however, management insisted that the King beds are all in the same size. By memory, I remembered I needed the help of a step stool before getting into bed previously, however, I had no trouble climbing into the King bed in the corner room. Am still unable to figure out why this was the case. The biggest complaints we had about the corner room were; 1. The shower had weak water pressure, and 2. The air conditioning was not cold enough. When we made our complaints to the hotel, the issues were promptly handled. The maintenance team came and fixed the air-conditioning, which remained cool throughout my stay. The same was done for our shower issue. The management team even sent an apology card with complimentary chocolates due to the inconvenience caused when we weren’t able to use the bathroom when it was being fixed. It was a nice gesture and definitely left an impression on me because of this gesture. Unfortunately, even after ‘fixing’ the shower, the water pressure was still pretty much the same. I attributed the weak water pressure due to having a the room on a high floor (22nd). However, I had been told it should not have been the case. A++ for quick and prompt services from the maintenance team. As such, I personally would have preferred the normal GDK room rather than a corner room, and to have a stronger shower than a bigger room size. Another plus point of the hotel would be accessibility and size of the lifts in the hotel. I was able to get in and out of the lift comfortably. And at times when I had the lift to myself, was able to do a 180° turn to face the lift door to get out of the lift. The building is very wheelchair friendly. Most doors were big enough to allow me to go in and out comfortably with the wheelchair. The Bellhop staff were still very quick and helpful like always in helping my partner in lifting my wheelchair in and out of the boot of Grab cars. They were always friendly, alert and provided impeccable service. A++ for the entire Bellhop and Concierge staff. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good variety of foods available. Staff at the Breakfast café was also friendly and helpful to me, and at times offered to help me with my plate of food and drinks to my table, which I am very appreciative of. However, I encountered a near accident when going to the breakfast café using the ramp provided at the back of the bistro. With an electric chair, the sliding door to the bistro was slow to open when I reached the top of the ramp. Unlike, normal abled people, it is rather hard for wheelchairs to ‘break’ suddenly whilst waiting for the sliding door to open and to gain access into the bistro. When I reached the top of the ramp, expecting the sliding door to open instantly, the wheelchair went spiralling downwards after knocking unto the ‘slow-opening’ door and landed me on the halfway landing. I was lucky enough to control the electric wheelchair and land safely. However, I would think it would have been really hard for to control other manual wheelchairs otherwise. My suggestion to management is to look into an alternative way to assist disabled guests to go to the bistro. Maybe an alternative wheelchair lift to the bistro at the side stairways would be a safer option than that dangerous ramp at the back. Alternatively, you may like to look into the speed at which the sliding door is opening. Location wise, the accessibility to MBK is still the best-selling positives about Pathumwan Princess. I was able to travel around in my electric wheelchair without any issues to and from MBK. This definitely enhanced my staying experience. Pathumwan Princess is still the most accessible and central place to stay within Bangkok. Last but not least, I would like to congratulate Prathumwan Princess in having an excellent team of staff! Not only did I receive impeccable services, all staff demonstrated excellent and consistency in servicing and helping the guests in the best way they can. I would strongly recommend staying here to all my family and friends! The experience will be beyond imagination!
