We saw the hotel on a search for weekend breaks - liked the location and the look of it. 5 days of heaven! Brilliant place - two pools - spa - Turkish Bath - excellent staff and great room! Breakfast first class and included ! Best fish restaurant ever across the road!! Would thoroughly recommend and we will be back very soon!!!!!

The hotel staff we encountered - from the doorman to the front desk to the restaurant waiters - were all outstanding: highly professional, courteous, helpful, and skilled at their jobs. Our room, newly remodeled and quite comfortable, had a view of Belem Tower. Dinner at the Amphora restaurant was excellent, as was the breakfast service. Wonderful stay overall.

Horrible experience! A/C was not working properly and room was hot as an oven! Staffed apologized but simply moved me to another room that was just as hot. Was then told A/C was not working in the entire hotel and probably would not be fixed during my 2 day stay. Carpets also very dirty and stained. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Check in was fast. Only thing I would have liked to know, that the breakfast starts later on Saturday. Breakfast is amazing, loved the little touch of chocolate on my cappuccino. The staff is so friendly. The room is spacious, bring your sleeping mask if you are sensitive to light.

Our stay at NAU Palacio do Governador was wonderful! The hotel is boutique done well and beautifully executed. The attention to detail, including integration of ancient Roman ruins was impressive.Our room was comfy, spacious and well appointed. We had easy access to the historic centre (including the Time Out Market) via tram, with a stop right beside the hotel. Restaurants in the area were great and not overrun with crowds of tourists. Short walk to the Belem Tower from the hotel and lovely walk along the river toward the MAAT and other monuments.
