It’s taken me a few months to write this review, but I wanted to make sure I did get my experience with them on here. I did a solo trip to Spain last summer. I booked this hotel for 3 nights as I was heading to Madrid after. My flight from the US was delayed several times and then canceled. I was stuck at the US airport for 17 hours. So, I didn’t arrive to Barcelona until the following day causing me to miss my first night I had reserved at this hotel. To make matters worse, the airline forgot my checked bag in London and it never showed up to Barcelona. So, I had no clothes to change into and I had now been wearing the same clothing for 36 hours. (Also, I finally got my suitcase 9 hours after arriving into Barc.) When I asked them if they could compensate me in anyway for the missed night ($300) they kept saying they cannot refund me because I didn’t get insurance. I was not asking for a refund. They could’ve simply offered me a free dinner in the restaurant or a massage or some other hotel amenity. But, all they kept saying was there was nothing they could do which is absolute BS. They didn’t even show any empathy for the hellish last 48 hours I had. So, I was out $300 of my first night. To add to this, I went to the upstairs restaurant to get a bite to eat. It was fairly busy. I stood by the bar where there was a bartender and two other people working. I wanted to ask about getting somewhere to sit to eat. I stood there a good 15 minutes and they all just ignored me and never asked if they could help me. I finally pulled one aside and said I would like to have dinner and if there was a table open and he rudely told me that it was an hour wait and I could stand and wait if I wanted to. So I was treated very poorly by the front desk staff and the restaurant staff. I would have found another hotel for my next two nights, but couldn’t afford to throw more money away since I already paid $300 a night for this place. The hotels I stayed at later in my trip in Madrid, Malaga and Ibiza were excellent! This place is a nice hotel but I would never stay here again and I would never recommend it to anybody, unless you like to be treated like crap.

I never wrote a review before, but this time it is important to let all the people know about this hotel, first I don't understand why it is in the 5 star level, when service to the guest, installations and location is very poor, I really recommend to avoid this hotel. I really had a very bad experience over there, I think that when you are looking for a place to stay in your vacation, it is to feel the hospitality and relaxed, but I got all the opposite, really bad service with the front desk people and second with the manager, I hope this review help you to take a better option in your decision, I really recommend to look for other options

This hotel is so perfectly placed on La Rambla. A true 5* hotel. Staff are amazing and helpful and rooms are very bright and modern. The roof bar/pool is a great place to chill in the evening before going out. Breakfast is up there with the best we've had around the world. Fresh smoked salmon, fresh honey on the cone and Champagne along with so much more fresh food. Highly recommended

We had the worst experience in this hotel, the service was horrible. We arrived from America at 2 am and our reservation was for 3 people but we arrived with 4 people because our 19 year old niece came with us from that flight and she was studying in Barcelona and she had her own apartment there but because of the time of arrival we begged them to let my niece stay for the night and we offered to pay extra for her so that way she doesn't need to take a taxi by herself at 3 am. They were so rude and did not let her to stay. The next morning we went out to tour the city, when we came back to the hotel our room was locked and when we found out what happened. They told us they did it just because of what happened the night before. We were so upset because all of our PERSONAL belongings were inside of our room and they didn't have the rights to do that. They apologized and said that they needed to contact us and this was the only way to do it, that was a lie because they had my cellphone number and also my email but they didn't try to contact me at all. When we checked in, we were trying to get to the elevator but we couldn't because somebody had smoked weed, we told the receptionist and they told us that we had to adjust to it because we would have that situation everywhere in that hotel, and that was also a lie. We left the hotel immediately because all our experiences were awful and they didn't even return our money when we paid months prior to the trip for 3 nights and stayed for only one.

Great expiriance, food is very good and tasty, the hotel is well maintained and alwayes clean, reception staff very helpfull and kind, rooftop pool and bar are amazing, the hotel located in a prime location, a walking distance to the rumblas.
