I booked this for our weekend in Amsterdam. Location being key, as we needed to be near the middle of everything only having a couple of days to get around. Close to the nine streets for shopping and close to the main station. Very good hotel, staff were helpful and available, slept well in a comfortable room, buffet breakfast was fine and the whole experience was not disappointing. It is exactly a grand building, perfect location for a weekend in the city.

Really great location for our city break. Service was excellent from a very friendly team. The only minor gripes I had were - with the top end price point I would’ve expected table service at breakfast rather than a free for all buffet. We had a premium room with a view of Dam Square which was great but very noisy with windows open, also the room lighting was too subdued.

Five star hotel in central Amsterdam. Very walkable to most interesting sites in downtown. Easy walk to Central Station. Great beds, wonderful breakfast buffet. Only downside is that it is right next to Dam Square and we had political demonstrations one night. I’d stay here again.

We booked this hotel as it was right in the centre of town (Dam Square). It's a very smart hotel but at breakfast, it's not easy to get very hot water in a pot if you want to have English Tea. Also they don't have jugs for the cold milk. Apart from that it was good.

We arrived at the hotel to a receptionist who was very lax in answering questions regarding our booking. We were shown our rooms where the view of one was a high concrete wall. Upon complaining that this is not what we booked we were then given our booked room category 24hours later! The breakfast service was so poor. First we were not shown to our table and secondly never have I ever had to collect my own juice/tea/ water. The staff were slow; one morning there was no juice available. They say to communicate with the hotel via an app however there is a 4 hour delay to get a response! Not a luxury hotel at all! Very disappointed with the hotel and its very poor service.
