Great location, quiet area, but walking distance to Opera and train station. 3 different metro stations within a few mins walk and a small bar and a handful of restaurants nearby. Room was OK size for 2 people for 3 nights. Clean and serviced daily and WiFi good too. Reception were welcoming and the map was useful. If you need to use the lift you would need to walk up about 10 steps to get to it.

We have just returned from a two night stay at this lovely, friendly hotel. We could not have been made more welcome. Everyone was so helpful. Don’t hesitate to stay at this hotel you won’t regret it, really clean and the beds had lovely white sheets and were really comfy. A gem!

We stayed at the hotel for three nights in a room with balcony. The room was very clean but quite small. The location is fine, close to the metro. The service from the staff is very good and helpful in any regard. No coffee machine in the room, but it was quite easy to get a fresh cup of coffee from the reception. All in all an excellent value for money tourist hotel

Great location with easy access to buses, trains, grocery store and laundry. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Wonderful staff and always a great help when navigating around the city. Something to be mindful of is to access the lift is by climbing a few steps. It is narrow but manageable with big luggage. Highly recommend the room with the balcony, it's a beautiful spot to sit with the flowers next to you and overlook the street.

I lived in Paris from 07-09. I love it. We learned of the New Orient Hotel(“NOH” during that period. It is very clean. Run by the same couple. Rooms are small and functional. Ask for one with a shower rather than a tub. I have probably stayed there a dozen times. This trip I went with my favorite travel partner. We had taken the TGV train( 2 hours ) from Lyon after visiting Chamonix. Then from the Gare Lyon to the NHO using Uber. Catching Uber at the Gar Lyon was a bit tricky. The pickup point is on a lower level designated a “Minute Pickup” The NHO is a few kilometers north of the Champs d’Elysse. A good Metro( Subway ) is a 7 minute walk. We used the Metro to go everywhere except the steep climb to the Sacre Coeur The neighborhood is safe for walking. Good on street wine, coffee and people watching are streetside at the Villers Metro station. Good inexpensive restaurants just off Rue Livis, like the “Village”, are great. There are coin laundromats near the NHO So, don’t overpack, just wash if required, The owners of the NHO are very gracious and helpful
