SCAMMER Best scam ever .I booked The Hanoi New Airport Hotel on Agoda ( been scammed twice through Agoda . .I booked a Grab .He took me to the New Airport Hotel HANOI .I had to pay there I thought I paid on line .He said no .You booked a dormritory room.You need to pay more for a private room .I PAID Grab taxi to get to the hotel .Grab the transport service sent me a text sayng are you OK. WE NOTICE you got taken to the wrong Hotel. I checked with owner on leaving .He screamed at me and showed me my booking .com reservation .In the taxi I realised that I booked with Agoda .I thought India was bad when I was there for scams .Vietnam is ferocious .

I've lives in Vietnam for a year now and I have never had the hospitality like I've had here. Tommy, the owner who speaks great English, made sure I had everything I needed. Tôi biết hết ở Việt Nam. But he set up a car for me to my early flight to the airport so I didn't have to deal with the scummy taxi drivers. I told Tommy that I am calling him directly the next time I'm in Hanoi to arrange accommodations just because he made everything so simple. Taxi drivers will refuse to drive you to this location because they are drooling at the mouth to rip the foreigner off and drive them to the city. Ignore all of them. Book here and then call them to arrange travel directly through the hotel; so much easier I promise.

We were impressed how sincerely the owner tried to take care of guests. He arranged transportation, provided information, etc. We felt welcome. The hotel is very near the Hanoi Airport so perfect for an overnight stay between flights. It's around 25 minutes by car from central Hanoi so not convenient if sightseeing Hanoi is your objective. The building looks older but is clean and well-equipped inside. The rooms weren't fancy but had everything we needed. It was adequate for our needs and the price was right. The breakfast was simple: Fried eggs, toast, coffee/tea prepared just for us, not on a buffet. The neighborhood was a variety of other buildings, shops, and housing. We didn't find anything there of interest. If you are looking for a modest overnight accommodation at a reasonable price, this is a good choice.

Tommy is an amazing host and very welcoming. We arrived in Hanoi Airport at 5 am and just wanted a place to crash for a few hours. We decided to try our luck and call this hotel because of the good ratings and it did not disappoint! Within 5 minutes of ringing them up (at 5:30am!) our taxi was waiting outside to bring us to the hotel, we got a nice quiet room and a welcome tea as we entered the lobby. Perfect start for our vacation in Vietnam. The hotel is not directly at the airport so you need a taxi to get there but it’s absolutely worth it. Would definitely recommend!
