A Magical Experience

We stayed at the World Towers for 2 nights as part of our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. On arrival the staff were so kind and friendly congratulating us, and arranging a room upgrade with late checkout. Our spacious apartment on the 73rd floor had sweeping views of the harbour, the eastern suburbs and coast. The apartment was well-appointed, comfortable, and clean. This Meriton’s location is fantastic, you can walk to the Botanical Gardens, the central shopping precinct, Darling Harbour, and Circular Quay/Opera house. There is also convenient tram and the Museum train station close by. It was very easy to get to the opera stage on the harbour in the evening to watch the Australian Opera’s wonderful production of Westside story.

Great setup for a family

Excellent set up for a family visit. The suites are very spacious with lots of living space and superb views. Everything was clean and comfortable but was a little tired and frayed at the edges. We had issues with the safe not working and one of the circuits tripping, but staff were pleasant and helped to fix everything. There is a gym and pool, though we didn’t have time to use them. The suites are in a great location - in the CBD and walking distance from most sights. Overall, a very good experience and a good alternative to staying in multiple rooms at a hotel (many of which often have inexplicable problems guaranteeing connecting rooms).

Beautiful 2 bedroom with friendly staff

We booked a 2 bedroom unit and it was very large and comfortable, larger than we even expected. Beautiful View. Staff was super friendly and helpful. There is no housekeeping at all which was a bit of a pain because if we needed something (room had no hangars, only 2 coffee pods for 4 days, one towel per person for the whole stay) it took multiple phone calls to the front desk and waiting a bit. The AC was not working properly in the main bedroom. It was freezing in the second bedroom and living room but our bedroom was so hot and we were sweating all night. We asked about it twice and a maintenance person came and it was maybe just slightly better, but something was definitely wrong. It was 100F in Sydney during our stay so not ideal to pay that much for a room and be uncomfortable at night. But we would stay here again, as I’m sure there was just an issue with that particular unit. It was a beautiful space and felt very luxurious (despite the heat!).

Worth a stay

We arrived very early in the day - 10am - and knew we would not be able to get our room that soon. We were given access to their arrivals lounge and our luggage was stored. This allowed us to explore Sydney until the room was ready. The team were lovely, accomodating and friendly. I witnessed a couple of difficult travellers insisting on being given rooms (one saying they had been patient in waiting an hour for a room!!) but the team handled everything very well. Thank you. The room was awesome (3 bedrooms on the 75th floor). We had heaps of space and loved the view. The only issue was we had 5 people in the room and only enough towels for 3 people. Minor inconvenience but was slightly painful to have to resolve. The location is also amazing. A walk to Central Station or a Light Rail ride to Circular Quay. We were going to hire a car and are very glad we didn’t as we managed to get around Sydney easily from this location. Thank you team. We will happily return.

Very nice downtown Sydney hotel

Very nice hotel located in the Chinatown area of Sydney and a quick 15-20 minute walk to darling Harbour. Also located conveniently on a tram line for greater access around the city. The hotel itself is staffed by below average staff compared to other Australian hotels in terms of kindness and politeness. The lobby itself is a bit cramped with limited options for seating. As the towers are very tall the elevators takes quite some time, this is understandable, but plan accordingly. The rooms themselves are very large and well appointed. Very nice showers, and amenities and comfortable beds. Rooms feature incredible views of the city. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it for downtown Sydney hotel stays.
