The hotel is super cute and cosy- the decoration feels very cosy. Staff are all super friendly and helpful- although we're a few occasions there was nobody to help us on reception but both times they were outside having a smoke so wasn't too hard to find them. Really close to the centre, and lots of places to go and see local to the hotel. Obviously as you're in the centre it can be a little noisy with a window with cars/bikes going past but that's to be expected in a central hotel on a canal. The only slight negative is that the room we stayed in had the pipes right outside the door, so would make a lot of noise if people flushed the toilet at night. Would 100% stay here again.

Just back from a fantastic stay at Max Brown in Amsterdam. Staff could not do enough for you and the hotel is situated on a lovely quiet canal but within walking distance to major attractions. One staff member stood out - Nadia who was in duty one evening and we witnessed how lovely she was to all customers. Have already recommended the hotel to family and friends

The hotel was amazing. The hotel staff so helpful and would do anything for you. The location was perfect 10 minute walk from train station and in the centre of town. Beautiful views from rooms. Only downside was the stairs to the room not for the faint hearted. Definitely will recommend this one ❤️❤️

Great location, lovely helpful staff, (mostly) good breakfasts. Room very poor for the 5 star prices charged. Paid €350 per night but no clean towels or room cleaning unless asked, small room no storage , tiny bathroom, very cheap fittings and flooring, dirty communal areas, what was supposed to be trendy was just bits of wood

Overall, amazing experience. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, and a great location. Fresh-baked snacks and mint/lemon water also made the honorable mentions. I would definitely return to this location and recommend it to anyone planning a weekend trip to Amsterdam.
