Your hosts are so friendly that you feel like a family member arriving home after a long absence. They are also organised and efficient and willing to help in any way they can. This is a beautifully presented accommodation with generous-sized rooms. Big and little details have been attended to. The shower was hot and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was a feast and there was variety each morning with home-made local foods to be sampled along with the regular items most people would want. It was a truly special place to stay, within walking distance of shopping and transport and food venues. With the limited number of rooms you will be fortunate to book into Marvel Hills but they will make you feel extra special when you do.

We only stayed here on a brief one night stop over but the house is stunning and the owners are very welcoming. The accommodation was really spacious and probably the most modern compared to our other stays, with a TV and tea and coffee making etc. The breakfast was lovely but beware the hill is extremely steep so if you have heavy luggage be prepared for a climb! It is easy to walk into town (10/15 mins) or tuk tuks are easily available. This is in the more upmarket residential part of town and we are very glad we stayed in this area.

Marvel Hills, Kandy is just the best place to stay. The accommodation is modern, neat, clean and very upmarket. The hosts Sarath and Karminie are wonderful and the food is great. The property is only a short walk from town and an even shorter tuk tuk ride. The views are spectacular! For value for money it must be the best or close to the very best in Kandy!

My wife and I stayed for two nights at Marvel Hills and it was fantastic. Sarath and Karmonie (I hope I got that correct!) were wonderful hosts. They were always there and always offered up juice or water, a tasty Sri Lankan breakfast, and even a late night snack. We ended up spending a lot of time with them, just having good conversation. It was like staying with friends. The view from the property is even better than the pictures. There is a great breeze on the large porch area, and you can sit there all day. The room was perfect. About the size of a normal bedroom with an attached bathroom with great hot water. The AC worked extremely well, which we really appreciated after dealing with the Sri Lankan heat. The house is also a very short walk, or PickMe, into Kandy center, and there is a laundry and a grocery story just up the street. We loved out stay with Sarath and his wife. If we ever make it back to Kandy, we would stay there again for longer than just two nights.

Sarath and his wife made us feel very welcome. The room was great and very clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The house itself is purched up the hill but only a short stroll into town so it really is perfectly located. As others have mentioned the drive is very steep but this really wasn't an issue and you do get the most wonderful view from the property. We very much enjoyed our stay and appreciated the suggestions on where to go and what to see, the botanical gardens are a lovely way to spend an afternoon. If you are travelling to Kandy we would highly recommend this property.
