We booked two rooms and stayed few nights in this hotel. We were assisted by Mr Juan A, who, together with Ms Luciana T, ensured that everything is great! Mr Juan responded promptly and clearly to every single of our messages regarding to the hotel, and he helped us with transportation. Rooms: Both rooms were spacious and had a specific design. We stayed on one of the upper floors. It was silent and the bed was confortable. In the room you have 4 pillows, 2 armchairs or a sofa, table, kettle (coffee and tea), mini fridge, etc. and big windows (I believe it is a good room to work too). Barroom: A big shower with 2 options for running the water. It would be great if they would add one more hanger in the bathroom, since there is only one in the room for two. However, you can hang your clothes in the wardrobe in the room. They left us a toothbrush, a toothpaste, a mouthwash, a soap, and other small things. There is also a body shower gel, a shampoo and a conditioner (good ones!). Area of the hotel: There is a swimming pool, a gym and other places available to use. Breakfast: Buffet, but there are some things you can also order separately. I liked fried eggs, yogurt and fruits. Parking: Parking is available. You have to check if you have to pay additional fee for it. We never waited longer than 3-4 minutes that they bring our car in front of the hotel. Location: This depends on your needs in Miami. For us it was great because we wanted to be in the middle of everything - Miami Beach/downtown, airport and Key West (we did a day trip, I’ll share about it on YouTube). If you have a car, it is super easy to move around. There is a shopping center nearby, and also rent a car office (like 10 min walk).

A stain on the Marriott Brand - Stay Away

This hotel is an absolute stain on the Marriott brand. They have no concierge lounge so for lifetime Platinum members there are none of the comforts that you expect when on the road, and no warning at time of booking. Upon arrival there is no water in the rooms - a standard set up at a full svc marriott is 2 bottles. The front desk NEVER answers the ‘at your svc’ calls from the room. There is no gift shop and hence no sundries should u need something, instead u are ordered to walk to the courtyard and use theirs 🤣. I went to the front desk to ask for bottles of water and it took 30 min, and instead of offering to just bring them to my room I was asked to wait there because they don’t “do that. “. The staff is apathetic and the svc at the bar as poor as you would expect. Also, elite status members not given high floor or even the refurbished rooms, just assigned at random without care. DO NOT STAY HERE if you expect an experience like any other full service Marriott - this is by far the worst run Marriott and worst experience delivered of any marriott i have stayed at and I have almost 1300 night. The Marriott Logo shld be stripped from the walls immediately.

Straight forward checking. Don’t expect suites, they don’t have any: for those who’ve want and deserve an upgrade: the too you’ve probably booked is the top! Sad. The elevator system is state of the art: touch screen your floor and off you go in the indicated elevator. “Art” rooms are well decorated, still neutral. Fluffy pillows reminiscent of the Luxury Collection pillows. Beware of the shower: slippery floor and surface with no bar or anything to hold onto: no friction to the floor, as would be recommended. Had to concentrate on Jo slipping. Quiet room on a high floor, only after request at check-in (despite your beyond good platinum level). Should be an automatic upgrade to a high floor. $10 bonus gift not really useful as there is no market in the hotel: bartender offered a cup of nuts: effort and not satisfactory. If your on the area on business: good location and a good overall hotel. Missing some perks like bathrobes or suites.

Warning: Excessive Hold Charges Left Card Maxed Out and Unusable

My recent stay turned into a cautionary tale for fellow travelers. Upon check-in, the hotel imposed hold charges on my credit card that far exceeded my stay's cost. These excessive charges maxed out my card, leaving it unusable for the rest of my trip. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel has yet to release the hold. This experience was not only frustrating but also disruptive to my travel plans. It serves as a reminder to be wary of hotels' hold policies and to inquire about potential charges upfront. Such unexpected financial burdens can significantly impact the enjoyment of one's trip.

This Marriott is a really dated hotel (see photos) the room was not very clean, edges of the carpet gross and marks over it also. My main problem here was I was given an adjoining room which I absolutely did not want, I asked to change rooms and they would not let me change rooms, even though I'm a Marriott Bonvoy customer. Disgusting customer service to be honest and the female host on the front desk has a terrible attitude problem. Disgusting hotel.
