I stayed three nights for ITB Berlin. The hotel is conveniently located and room quality was at par with a typical 3 or 4 star hotel. But there were several areas which could improve. a. The gym is too small for a hotel of this size with only one trade mill and one cross training machine in a very tiny room. Every morning I had to wait for my turn to use the machine. b. A long wait for breakfast when all guest rush to the breakfast at around 8am. c. When I arrived in morning one young receptionist said my room would not be available until 3pm. About 10 minutes later a colleague of mine arrived and she was checked in to the hotel by another receptionist who appears to be a more senior staff than the one who earlier I spoke to. So I complained why I had to wait until 3pm when another guest was allowed the check in immediately. Then she said "the room was just cleaned so you can check in now." Come on - I think she did not tell the truth. The other receptionist basically did not even bother to check and told me that I needed to wait until the check in time at 3pm.

Bad experience

A bad experience this time. Four out of six of my colleagues had food poisoning, so did many others at the conference I attended. No info received. I ordered some drinks at my room as I was dehydrated. 45 min later when I checked I was told they could not take the time to deliver to me…

Easy to find. A lovely hotel through out. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, which are the most important things. Room was warm. Restaurant was lovely with excellent choices for breakfast and dinner. Would definitely stay here again because of its location.

Stayed here based on reviews as we wanted to stayed in this area. Turned out more convenient even than we thought. Everything you need here or close by. Bus to airport and hop on hop off bus just at end of street. Casual dining in the bar also a good feature with selection of beers and some nibbling menu dishes. Lots of conferences so only comment would be getting a lift in the morning (waited nearly 10 minutes this morning at 8.30am) so be aware if you need to be somewhere . Rooms good , bed comfortable. Great pub restaurant next door Gaffel Haus, worth a try. Hotel is good value for where it is and what it offers. Front desk staff were also excellent. Would stay again.

Fabulous Hotel with One Surprising Danger

We stayed here because it was included in our Road Scholar multi day Berlin tour. Great first impression. The beautiful, sleek lobby full of large works of eye catching art really reflected the energized, artsy, sophisticated feel of Berlin of today. In fact, there was exciting, thought provoking art throughout the public spaces of the hotel. We were thrilled to not only discover that we could check in about 4 hours early but also, when we went out to explore, how wonderfully walkably near points of interest, restaurants and the train station are. The incredible breakfast buffet is the best I have ever experienced with it's huge selection of mouthwatering offerings and a very alert, helpful staff. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom had great lighting and water pressure. BUT THAT BATHTUB!!!!! It was the HIGHEST and most dangerous bathtub I have ever bathed in. One needed to be a high jumper with perfect balance to easily get in and out of it. I am of medium height. My partner is quite a bit taller. Both of us (active, physically fit seniors) really felt insecure hoisting our legs sky high with nothing to grab on to when we entered and excited the tub. We learned fellow traveler requested a room with a shower. Perhaps we will follow her lead next time And there will be a next time. We really enjoyed this hotel and hope to stay there when we revisit Berlin.
