Hotel is a major disappointment it does not have the basic requirements. 1 chair but we have 2 people using the room, the plug socket is at the bottom with no where to put the phone other than the floor. No irons provided. Sheets where not changed even though after 2 days I requested for this to be done. Front desk do not speak english so best to use google translation. 1 good thing is the location of the hotel it is close to all the beautiful attractions.

We enjoyed our days in Istanbul staying at the Kalyan Hotel. The staff was very helpful and provided arrangements for our Turkish bath. The dining room was very pleasant and all the food was tasty. The staff was prompt and friendly. We would stay there again.

Perfect base for a city break to Istanbul

We stayed here during our most recent city break. I chose the hotel for the location, right on the waterfront but within easy distance of the Blue Mosque, Grand Bizarre and so much more of the old part of the city. We did not spend much time in the hotel as we were always out and about as is the norm for a city break. The hotel was diligently clean in all areas especially our bedroom and en-suite. The bedroom was of a good size offering ample ease of use. The staff were really friendly and helpful when required with nothing being too much trouble. I would certainly return to this hotel to use as my base for a future trip to Istanbul

I had a serious issue that had nothing to do with my stay. I asked the front desk for assistance (which was a long shot), and they resolved it for me in a heartbeat. On top of that, free of charge! Turned around my entire stay.

Good location by the river, quiet as well. Only a short walk from main attractions like the Blue Mosque and Bazars. There are a few restaurants near the hotel too as well as the hotels own restaurant. The lobby and downstairs is nice and modern. Staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed in a superior double room, two twin beds, a desk and the room was spacious. Bathroom was a good size too. Lots of storage, a safe, minibar and two bottles of water supplied everyday. The WIFI was ok did cut out sometimes and our TV did not have any sound. Overall, a nice hotel in a good location.
