The hotel looks very nice from the outside. It’s located in the middle of the village, and you can reach every destination from there. Our room was clean and spacious. They got a strange policy that you can chose not to have your room cleaned for environmental reasons. I’m familiar to have an option for not changing your towels, but not to leave out the whole room. The staff responsible for breakfast and the restaurant is overwhelmed with their tasks. A lot of running around that results in disappointing service. There’re better options available for a better price. The management is arrogant and didn’t give me the feeling that I was a welcome guest. When addressing the room cleaning policy issue, we received an arrogant and rude answer. I’m not paying to get insulted.

I stayed for one night in transit. The building and rooms seem to be modern and updated. My room is of decent size; the carpet appeared to be a bit dirty (with some stains). The room had a safe, a TV, and desk/chairs etc. There are two complains. (1) On the table, there was a jar of water and two empty cups, all appeared to be super clean. The jar has a paper jar-cover. When I took it off to pour water into the cup, the back/inside of the jar-cover was dirty. Why don’t they use a new paper cover each and every time after someone check out??! (2) Although I had asked for a quiet room before arriving, and also asked one when I was checking in, the woman did not care much, just gave me a room on the second floor, facing Kirchstraße. Later I figured out that because this hotel does not have AC (most small hotels in Germany do NOT have AC), we had to open windows in hot days (that day's high was 26˚C). So I hear the sound of the metal knives/folks from folks sat under my window on the street by the restaurant. For a hotel in this remote town, it is not cheap.

We love the location of the hotel right in the town centre. We always get the family room, it is large and recently renovated. It is in a separate buildng from the main hotel, but just a 10 meter walk to the restaurant. The location is just near the centre of town and close to the cathedral and town square. There are many local restaurants close by and all of the shops focus mainly on hiking or camping activities. The staff is friendly and speaks multiple languages.

a very short walk from the train station, instantly you see the hotel is clean and tidy, the staff couldn't do enough to help. The room was light and clean and very comfy, a great bathroom size and shower. As a single traveller i expect a small room but this was perfect. The sauna was exceptional you would expect this standard at a spa. The restaurant was fantastic, it obviously a popular place to eat any way as the food was to a very high standard. Breakfast was perfect, being a brit who loves his tea I've grown to expect a lack of tea but there was a good enough selection to cobble something together. Full continental and egg and bacon options (which I didn't expect!). I would definitely stay here again.

I was here for business, so I'm probably not your typical traveler to Oberstdorf. The hotel is beautiful and is located right in the middle of the town of Oberstdorf... the shops and restaurants are right outside your window. I was in a Junior Suite. The room was very large, clean and pretty modern. The shower and amenities were very nice. The hotel cleaning staff did an amazing job... my room was spotless every day. I usually don't notice this, but it was exceptional. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, even with my limited German. The breakfast was very nice... great quality but also a large selection. The wifi connection was not great... I got disconnected a lot. That was the only downside for me, but it was a small one. Overall I highly recommend this hotel for a ski or sightseeing weekend in the beautiful town of Oberstdorf.
