I have been to so many boutique hotels in my life, but this is definitely one of the best I have ever stayed in. A welcome that could not have been warmer, the beautifully decorated rooms, the tranquil garden where you can hear the birds singing while sipping on a glass of perfectly chilled rosé (that‘s me sipping, not the birds ;-) )… Located in probably one of the most charming areas in Amsterdam, with all the museums, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Having originally booked one of the smaller rooms, we were upgraded to a gorgeous family room - I cannot say thank you enough for this generosity. It was overwhelming. But what made our stay so outstanding were the staff. Whoever you encountered, there were so many smiles, so much warmth and heartfelt kindness, we were made to feel truly at home. Thank you everyone at Hotel 717, thank you Victor & Victor, and I can‘t wait to be back very very soon!

Had a lovely 3 night stay at Hotel 717. The location was perfect for what we wanted to see in Amsterdam. And the staff was delightful. Felt very secure. My room was small but well-appointed. There was a little noise from the pipes, but that's not surprising for an old building. Would definitely stay here again.

The website builds this up to be a premium experience. The price suggests this too. But it was not. Our room was pokey and tired, overlooking an ugly concrete wall and roof. You can hear people going up and down creaky stairs at all times. There are no real communal spaces. The service was attentive but within clear limits: no can’t arrange a bike for you, no you can’t have champagne as your welcome drink (only Prosecco!), no we can’t find the right place to eat. The breakfast was absurd - way over engineered michelin wannabe, ended up paying €50 for a portion of scrambled egg, coffee and juice (one person). Had been looking forward to it as a niche boutique experience, but could not have been a bigger gap between the marketing and the reality.

My wife and I went to Amsterdam for a birthday celebration. We were looking for a small and cozy place to stay and we found it. This place is enchanting. All the staff gives the extra mile to make you feel good and welcome. Great attention to details. We loved pretty much everything, the room, the coffee, best in town, the food quality outstanding. Is a place to stay as many tines you are in Amsterdam. Thank you 717 for take care of us in our stay.

Hotel 717 is perfectly placed to walk around Central Amsterdam. The room was clean, nicely set out with spacious bathroom. However the staff are this hotel's greatest asset. Helpful and good humoured, they made 717 a home from home. Perfect
