Worth it if you're not expecting to spend much time in the place. 1960's decor, and the furnishings appear to date from that decade. One elevator which was spotty while we were there, and that doesn't go to the top floor. Shower was typically small for Germany but also a bit grotty. Barely adequate wifi (also typical in most German hotels...) If you need an immaculate, up-to-date place look elsewhere, but it was fine for us.

My stop off in Frankfurt was unplanned, I booked my room whilst on the autobahn when I was about a 100 miles south of Frankfurt. I found the hotel to be very reasonably priced and after booking I decided to see what reviews it had, I must say I was a little horrified by some of the comments. We arrived late afternoon and check-in was quick and easy, I found parking nearby as there is none at the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, overlooking the front of the hotel. The room was a little small, that didn't bother me as we went to the room, cleaned up and then went out to explore Frankfurt on foot. It was a very pleasant walk to the old town and when we got back it was straight to bed and my eyes were shut as soon as my head hit the pillow. Had a decent night's sleep, felt refreshed and then went down for breakfast. I am not really a breakfast person but I really enjoyed what was on offer. Overall a fairly decent experience, my first time in Frankfurt and looking forward to visiting again. My stay at Hotel Primus did not break the bank and I would happily stay again for a night or two in future.

The single room i was assigned was really small and in certain areas of it I was not able to stand up because of the very low ceiling. I was at the 6th floor and there was no elevator!!! Therefore I had to walk up the stairs with my heavy luggage. But the worst part were my room neighbours. They were really loud up to late night and the wall between our rooms did not isolate the noise. Finally, since my room was next to the door that gave access to the floor, every guest that went in opening and closing the door was waking me up. I am sure that even if 120 € per night (breakfast excluded) are not so much for Frankfurt standards, they are definitely too much for the inexistent service provided. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Checked in late, for a very professional and welcoming experience. I had room 46 (the rooms ending on 6 seem to be leading directly onto the inner staircase to the rooms, it can be a bit noisy, with doors closing/footsteps up and down.) The room itself was very clean and tidy, with a show inside and a sink. A toilet was external and shared with other people on the floor. I didn't have a chance to have the breakfast but I believe it is free, always a bonus. I used S-Bahn from Lokalbanhof to get here, from the main station. To get to the airport I used S Bahn from Muhlberg. Both of those are a 10 minute or so walk from the hotel. The city centre is around 20 minute walk from the hotel. Great value hotel, I'd stay again.

Spent two nights in a double room. It was clean and comfortable, though no tea/coffee making facilities but there was a lovely cafe directly across the road. Quiet area but near an area containing quite a few pubs and restaurants. Great public transport in the area, near the train station and tram stops and not too far to walk over the bridge. Downside was that the room opposite us appeared to be non smoking as I think there was a very loud chain smoker staying there who didn’t stop talking on his phone! Also severely lacking in plug sockets, especially if there are two of you who want to charge their phones and use a pair of hair straighteners! Friendly staff, they did do breakfast but we didn’t partake. They also allowed us to leave our luggage there before we checked in and after we checked out to allow us to explore the Christmas market. Deserving of the three star status and I think we would stay there again.
