We stayed for (31/03/2015 & 01/04/2015) 2 Nights at Pelling. Actually we had stayed at Hotel Snow View which is opposite to this Hotel. As Hotel Snow views kitchen was not functioning they got us dinner from outside & that was horrible. In morning we approached Mr. Chhotelal Singh - owner of Hotel Pemasonam for our meal and he arranged delicious breakfast at his restaurant and on our request for further meal i.e. lunch etc Mr. Chhotelal made all arrangement for our Lunch. All food we had at this hotel were delicious and as per our requirement (Jain Food) at very reasonable price. We also had a look at this hotel's room and they are spacious, neat & Clean. Owner is very helpful, co-operative and good host. We strongly recommend this hotel & restaurant. Contact No. of Mr. Chhotelal Singh - 9564257387, 9093760677.

When your booking slip says ‘deluxe view room’, you build up certain expectations. And then the reality hits you. The room is forgettable and I am being very generous. No view to speak of, a telephone that do not work, a bed that creaks and then the crew. They are the icing on the cake. You turn on the geyser to take a shower and suddenly realize that they have turned it off. We were the only guest at that time, so this is not a mistake. So whenever you need to use warm water, you need to call them up. They also locked us out in our room, essentially making it impossible for us to leave our room to go down to the lobby; unless of course they come and open the door. We almost went into a shouting match with the crew. So if you are thinking about visiting this hotel, I am strongly discouraging you to do so.

Pelling is a small place and its USP is the view that it provides of the Kanchenjunga range. Most of the hotels are located alongside the main road which begins from Upper Pelling, with Middle Pelling being after the first bend and lower Pelling at the bottom. Pemasonam is in middle Pelling and provides a good view of the Kanchenjunga range from the upper floors and from the terrace.. For a low cost hotel it is maintained well. The cook (who doubles as the help at the hotel) will rustle up a a hot meal at a one hour notice. There is not much choice in food. We had vegetarian food which was quite decent.

We booked two rooms in this hotel in April '13 for two days.We had a very nasty experiences because of rude and uncivilised behaviour of the person who manned the front desk.He was illbehaved, ill mannered and unhelpful. The rooms were average but toilets were real bad.Availability of hot water depended upon the whims of the manager.Linens and blankets were dirty.Food was so so.The kitchen and dinning room were unclean.Other staffs were helpful. I shall not recommend any tourist to stay in this hotel.
