An outstanding 2 night stay in Saint Germain. The location is ideal, close to shops, dining and sights. So much to do within a 10 min. walk. Sanjay went above and beyond to assist with dinner reservations and to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect. I highly recommend!

This is our 2nd trip to Paris and 2nd stay at the Hotel Madison! The hotel is in a great area close to everything. Rooms are very nice, modern, extremely comfortable and are spotless. Hotel staff are fantastic. Excellent breakfast buffet. Loved our 6 nights there and will return again in the future.

Perfect charming lux Paris experience. Hotel Madison has it all and you feel like you are the only person they have to tend to. There is also a laundry in the hotel, which makes life easier for those of us on long stays. I had a bottle of champagne delivered to the room while I did laundry and it was soooooo perfect.

DO NOT STAY HERE. They do not have air conditioning and charge to use sofa beds in your room. The hotel clearly says on the website it has air conditioning. There were a few hot days and our room, as well as some other guests in our traveling party were uncomfortable and had to have the windows open and there were no screens, so we had flies and bugs in the room during the stay. I went to the front desk and a very unpleasant person on duty told me that the air conditioning is only run 1 to 1.5 months of the year, he told me NO OTHER hotel in Paris does either. Incorrect statement by him. He said they only "Circulate" the existing air. I said that wasn't right and that it says on the website the hotel has air conditioning, not to mention he was very ugly in speaking with me. I asked to talk to the manager and he informed me that it was the weekend and that he would not contact him. He said it was against French law and that he cared for his job and that I would have to wait until Monday. There is no manage4r on duty at that hotel on the weekends apparently. Another guest was standing there as this happened and chimed in on my defense saying that was not right of him. I inquired Tuesday am about it, as I never heard from the manager and he came out had me sit down in the lobby only to be interrogated and told he would get back to me later that day after he spoke with his staff. This was the fourth time I had to tell a staff member about that Saturday. I also told him that while he gave me a "Free" mini bar card, the mini bar was not refilled for days. I did not hear from him by the end of the day as promised, and when I asked to review the bill at 1030 that evening as I had an early departure, I was then given a somewhat apologetic email that he claimed that he had sent, which when the attendant pulled it up on his computer, it in fact had NOT been sent, my email was not on it. I was SHOCKED to see that he was going to "CREDIT" me for the mini bar, which he told me upon checkin it was to be free, and they were CHARGING me to use the SOFABED that I already was paying for the upgrade of the room. Originally we had a deluxe room with a rollaway for ONE night. The desk clerk got Ruebn the manager on the phone and he claimed that it was for four nights and I should take it up with the agency that booked the room. Ridiculous, because we booked the room directly with the hotel. Also, we never used the rollaway, as we had been upgraded to a suite and it was not needed. He claimed they bill according to the way the room was booked, which is wrong because we changed the room and he should know they did not provide ANY ROLLAWAY. I was exhausted dealing with a confrontational staff and manager and just settled the bill. I stayed at the Madison 5 years ago and had a lovely stay. I have sent two separate large parties to stay there over the years. There were seven rooms in this party staying there this time. And that is how I was treated as a guest. Life is too short to spend money to stay in an establishment such as this. It is not the problem in life but how it is handled, and sadly the Madison is not a hotel to stay in when there are problems. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, there are plenty of lovely hotels in Paris.

This hotel is situated in the heart St Germaine de Pres, within walking or metro distance from all our favorite attractions. The breakfast ladies were sweet and accommodating while the front desk folks went above and beyond many times. Saldi and Sophie were beyond helpful. If you want a great Parisian experience, this is your place. Bon Voyage!
