You couldn't ask for a better location, and the hotel is really nice to boot. We got a free upgrade to a Signature room upon check-in, with a modern glass bathroom and free nonalcoholic drinks from the fridge. The room was quiet at night despite being near many restaurants, etc. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. Old Town Square and Namesti Republiky are both a 15-min. walk at most.

Recommend this hotel highly, clean , good amenities and close to most attractions, staff very attentive and friendly. Lot of choice with eateries close by and large department stores close by also.The main square is approximately ten minute walk .

The HOTEL JOSEF is in a great location; easy to walk to all the tourist sites. Rooms are modern and quiet. The staff was great and we enjoyed our time with Max, the bartender. If he's there; ask him to tell you about his getting his marriage license and his getting married. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This is a 5 star hotel but see caveats further below. With that said, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again. The breakfast alone is reason enough to stay there - it is sooo good, with all the freshly baked goods (I just loved those creamy cheese filled buns!), special entrees (like eggs Benedict) that you can order for no extra charge, in addition to the generous spread - bacon, meats/cheeses, yogurt, granola, fresh fruits, etc., and handmade coffee drinks. The service is impeccable (and, actually, all the staff at the hotel were lovely). The single room was perfect in every way. While there are no drawers to put your clothes in or shower caps or a clock, the room otherwise had everything you would possibly need and was so well appointed- double bed, mini bar stocked with free drinks each day, the perfectly sized walk in shower with overhead and handheld nozzle, nice toiletries, great counter-space for all your stuff, USB outlets for your iPhone and iPad, big mirrors, magnifying mirror, TV, robe, slippers, Nespresso coffee machine, a safe, etc., and so very clean and modern. I would definitely stay there again, but I couldn’t help but dock them 1 star because the AC never properly worked nor did the mini bar/fridge (after 3 gentle complaints to the front desk and 2 mentions to the bartenders when I asked for ice for the lukewarm drinks in the room); both were finally fixed my last night there - after the last bartender looked into it for me. I guess lesson learned is that I should have been more insistent earlier to have those things fixed, but otherwise, it is a really nice hotel, walkable to all the sights in a nice safe area.

We loved this hotel experience while in Prague. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. We needed 2 rooms and they were modern and exceptionally clean. Breakfast, which was included, was over the top with tasty choices and delicious coffees. We will definitely be back!
