We stayed on the top floor which is good because it has a little balcony. It's bad because the floor above is the kitchen/breakfast/happy hour spot and people like to play musical chairs up there. Happy hour goes until 11:30pm, so sleeping before that could be challenging. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on cardboard. The shower smelled like mildew or sewage after the first day they cleaned. There is no water pressure or hot water, which I don't know is particular to this hotel or more of an Italy thing. The breakfast was ok; beware of the birds that want to share with you. Any open food has probably been touched by a bird. Willie was a great happy hour server, and it's a nice spot to sit and watch the sunset. The view from the lookout is not quite what they sell it as.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Rooftop breakfast buffet (with freshly cooked hot options) is the perfect way to start the day, and evening cocktails are the perfect way to end. Good dining options very nearby. The Vatican and the Spanish Steps are comfortably walkable. Would definitely stay here again.

First impressions were good , a modern hotel in a good location . We had a double deluxe room which looked lovely . However , on our first night a few of the wall sockets wouldn’t work so we were limited for plugging appliances (and the kettle ) in . One of the wall sockets next to the bed sparked when we removed a plug . We reported all of this and the next night it happened again . The bathroom was very small - and the toilet would stop flushing - we had to keep leaving it and trying again . On our last day - it stopped flushing completely . All reported but no urgency in getting it fixed and we had to leave it like that . Really disappointing for a 4 star hotel . The breakfast was adequate - fresh eggs/omelettes done to order , fruit , yogurt and a lot of cakes. Often there was a wait for clean cups / bowls ,glasses . This was in March so I wouldn’t like to see what it’s like in peak season !

This charming hotel in an "untouristy" yet ideal location could not have been a better choice for us after a long Tuscan hiking trip. The room was on the smaller side but beautiful, the upstairs room for the generous breakfast was a delight, and the staff responded immediately to any needs or questions. As promised, our ride to the airport was there at 6 am (even earlier) and the bagged breakfasts prepared with everything we had wanted was so welcomed. The value for Hotel Isa is excellent and we would definitely stay here again when in Rome.

Beautiful building. Nice area for breakfast and drinks. Good air con in rooms. Fairly spacious rooms. Nice surrounding area. Otherwise, disappointing. Breakfast subpar. Beds too firm. Hideous orange color scheme. No nespresso, only instant coffee. Outdated rooms. Small bathroom. Moldy smell. Would not recommend or return.
