We were looking forward to a nights stay, and we couldn’t wait to leave. I have stayed in hotels all across the world and have never felt so unsafe as here! No security in reception, there was two young men in suits on the sofa with girls sat on there laps watching videos on there phone? Anyone can work in through the door, many people were in and out. Then there was police who advised they were working on a crime scene in one of the rooms. You can tell the rooms were nice one day; now they are run down; the shower was cracked and dirty with hairs in it, stains all over the carpet. Couldn’t sleep as people shouting and screaming in the coridoor. We had breakfast, the fruit and pastries were covered in fruit flies. Its a shame as we have been on spa days here pre covid, and now it is so run down. Wasnt surprised to see the spa has shut! Premier inns are better!

Offers great views of the city and the guy on check-in was really pleasant and professional. My room on the 23rd floor was stylishly-decorated, with a bright, spacious ensuite. Full marks too for a mini-fridge with complimentary bottled water and Elemis toiletries. Some drawbacks though, notably the lack of air in the room. Even with the air con on at the lowest temperature, it felt like 22 degrees throughout my stay - something of which the hotel was obviously aware because an upright fan was whirring in the room when I arrived. Unfortunately, this made little difference to the heat and the noise of the air con + the fan drowned out the television. Bits of paint were missing from the ceiling, as if someone had stuck banners or balloons up there. Whatever had caused it, it looked unsightly and could be easily sorted. I got a good value, lastminute deal for my stay so didn't regret it, but am not sure I'd pay a higher price in future.

Visited once again on 13 April 2024. Arrived at 2.30pm, woman on reception made us feel welcome. She confirmed our room was ready. The room was exceptional, modern, clean and loads of space. The view from our window was unreal from the 24th floor. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel in the past 12 months and will not stay anywhere else when visiting Birmingham. The hotel is such good value for money, it’s clean, modern, best views, breakfast at Marco Pierre Whites restaurant, superb staff.. We are staying once again in a few days and cannot wait.

Completely gone down hill. This place used to be vibrant and buzzing. We're not made aware the spa had closed. Standard food, room was ok but bedding dirty, dated furniture. Ent for breakfast. Had 1 setver on her own who was loveky and did well to serve everyone but she needed help. Won't be returning and wouldn't recommend.
