These clowns do short term luggage storage as a side gig through stasher dot com, which charges reservations up front, but they don't honor their contract, and are major a**holes about it (the hotel owner/manager acts as though giving them 50euro for a couple of hours of bag storage - pre paid/prereserved - is some kind of imposition and you're wrong to even think that such a thing would be an acceptable ("we can't possibly fit that many... They're too big" - 7 bags, again-pre- reserved 7 of 19 available spaces, and all are medium rolling suitcases, none oversized) . Avoid them (and stasher too, who gives you a hard time about refunds and refuse an email confirmation that they processed a refund at all while they sit on your money.) Can't even imagine how bad an experience actually staying here would be if that's how they treat a prepaid piece of luggage for a few hour stay

Avoid this hotel at all costs! I found two cockroaches in my room and left the first night. The hotel manager did not apologize and refused to give me a refund and gave me his Whatsapp number to process my cancellation because he was too “busy”. When I told him I did not feel safe in this hotel, he was extremely dismissive and offered a “better room”. If I found two cockroaches in my room, there are certainly more around the building because it is filthy. I made the mistake of cheapening out but it is not worth it. Booking was able to help but I didn’t get a full refund. Worst experience. Book a hostel instead, and if you have a bit more cash book a room at Hotel Elysa. Better rooms and better staff and great location. Hotel Edgar Quinet is worst than trash and it should lose its license as a hotel.

This hotel is superbly situated near to montparnasse train station. It is surrounded by a variety of superb restaurants. The hotel is basic, however it was clean and provided everything needed for a hotel stay. Yes there is noise from the exterior, but that is to be expected given its prominent position with regard to all the bars and restaurants. However, once the window is closed this is blocked. The staff were polite and extremely helpful. I would definately stay here again

The lack of hygiene which left me with bedbugs and a treatment that I have to take as I have an allergic reaction to bedbugs. I stayed for 1 night there. The receptionist was really helpful and welcoming. However, the hygiene was very very bad! Two days after my stay, I started to see some spots on my legs and arms. I went to the pharmacy and I've been told that I was bitten by bedbugs. The corridor in the entrance, the carpet in the bedroom, the sink and the toilet were dirty, I had to clean it myself with some Dettol wipes that I've had in my suitcase. The bedspread was dirty and had a cigarette hole on it. I was not confident to sleep in that bed. However, it was too late at night to look for another hotel. Don't trust the photos on their page. They have probably been taken after a renovation 20 years ago...
