This is one of the hotel where, after leaving it, you just forget everything about! I mean my stay was normal, nothing special, but also nothing bad happened. My experience: - The room was small, but very clean and the AC worked extremely well. I slept very well every night. - Breakfast was good, and the team handling the tables was very very professional, friendly and quick. - Location wasn’t good. It’s around 13mns from the nearest sunway station (Porta Romana), and it’s on a busy street. - The reception team was not bad, except for Ortensio, who was the only friendly and helpful member of staff. - The company paid around 300$/ night for 5 nights, so I can’t say it’s a good value of money! But because it’s the Fair season, and all other hotels are either fully booked, or even more expensive. - There are good restaurants nearby, a pharmacy, a supermarket and everything you need.

This hotel is near Bocconi University, in a residential area that's a bit off the beaten path from the city center. The room I stayed in was good – large, clean, and nicely set up, with a big bathroom and an excellent shower. But, there's a hitch with those tiny plastic toiletries. Hotels really need to step up their game and drop these for something more eco-friendly. Also, there were no tea or coffee-making facilities in the room, which was inconvenient, especially with no bar in the hotel to grab a quick cup. The breakfast is served in a windowless basement room. The staff there are super friendly, but the food selection leans heavily towards cakes and sweet pastries, with not many healthy options. The biggest downside for me was the lighting – the hotel, including my room, the lobby, and other common areas, was just too dark, barely any natural light getting in. Overall, while Hotel d'Este has its positives, especially in room comfort, it falls short in some areas that could enhance the guest experience.

The Hotel d'Este will appear, to many tastes, somewhat tired and dated - but for a short stay it was impeccably clean, and acceptably comfortable. The hotel is close to Bocconi University, and about 25 minutes stroll to the cathedral quarter. Staff were friendly and helpful, the wifi worked. The breakfast was included - and absolutely surpassed expectations. I would stay again if in this part of Milan.

My stay at Hotel D’Este was pretty good. The single room/bed is comically narrow by North American standards, but fine for a single person. The bathroom is large and well-appointed, except for the hair dryer which, like many Italian hotel hair dryers, makes a lot of noise and only blows warm air. My safe didn’t work. The entire hotel was impeccably clean, which I really appreciated, and the room was comfortable and quiet, musts for business travel. The breakfast was excellent - everything one could possibly want to eat. The breakfast server, Max, seems to have made it his life’s mission to ensure that everyone has the most delicious caffeinated beverage in front of them at all times. He was super friendly and made my breakfast experience over the top. Grazie mille Max! The main downside for me was the location, as it meant a ten-minute walk from the metro station alone in the dark each night. I would have preferred to be closer to a metro station. There is a tram that runs on the street in front of the hotel, but it rarely took me to where I needed to go. For this reason I would probably choose a hotel closer to the Duomo or Centrale, but Hotel D’Este is a solid hotel choice if the area works for you.

Hotel Destre good location easy to reach the centre with either walking 15 mins or tram number 15, (5 mins to duomo) its about a 5 min walk to get that tram. turn right out of hotel and walk. a number 9 i think will also get you to the centre of milan (duomo) but we never took it, the number 9 runs past the hotel. turn left out of the hotel and walk about 10 mins to metro station (underground) porta romana and your on the yellow line to DUOMO. hotel breakfast continental very good and lots of choice, the breakfast people are very very friendly and helpful especially max a great person.. i would go back no problem.
