Hotels with amiable General Manager Deepak Dewan I along with my wife and son stayed for four days at New Orchids Inn. Denzong Shangrila and New Orchids are under the same Management with Deepak Dewan ad the General Manager who wins all with his amiable personality. Both hotels are very good hotels providing hospitality to tourists and other visitors. The emloyees and staff are very good and cooperative. One can view distant hills from top floor radside rooms. Although the complementary breakfast is very good some more items may be added like Dahi Bara (during summer) and phulka roti too. I am all praise for Mr. Deepak Dewan who personally came out to find a taxi to take my wife to hospital at about 10.30 P.M. at night when she needed urgent medical treatment. Here are some of my suggestions to the owners of the twin hotels : 1. Alongwith the regular food menu another menu with homely food items may be there with Odia and Bengali curries like Dahi Baigan (brinjal in curd), veg fry (with parbal, carrots, beans, and potatos), jahni posta (ridge gourd with poppy seeds padte), fish with mustard paste, etc. 2. There should be a Travel Desk at the hotel for arranging sightseeing tours with reasonable charges so that guests may not be duped by other agents. 3. Guests may be given a small mementos like Buddha's calm picture printed on clothlike paper. 4. The Management may give one annual excellence award to one employee in a year which will act as an incentive for them to serve guests enthusiastically. -Dr P. K. Sahoo, Sarupathar, Assam

Amazing staff, Deepak Dewan has been fantabulous with his hospitality, it's walkable distance from MG mall gangtok, as in 20 min walk. Clean rooms, food is good but have less options in breakfast, please add more variety, like juices, everyday parantha , aloo ki sabji, herb potatoes, uthpam, noodles, Cut fruits but increase the food on the breakfast table. The view from the restaurant is awesome and the sunshine is amazing during breakfast in the restaurant Overall it's a neat and clean hotel with amazing staff
