The hotel room although small (expected given being in Europe) was very clean. The breakfast was good and convenient before a day out in the city. However, the location is not that convenient for those headed into the heart of the city. You have to plan ahead for travel and allow plenty of time. The hotel staff was nice except for the front staff who were rude at times and unhelpful. I would expect the hospitality to be more accommodating. Would not book another stay here.

Hotel Degli Artisti is in a great location near the Barberini metro stop, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps! The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were a bit small and had some peeling paint but overall very nice.

This is a perfect hotel! This is a family-owned hotel for at least a couple of generations and the pride is palpable. The hotel is absolutely immaculate. The decor is in sea blue and white with glossy marble floors. The rooms are well-appointed with the most comfortable mattresses we found in our two month tour of Italy! The shower was huge with rain shower-head and fabulous water pressure. Breakfast is tended by gracious, smiling staff with an excellent selection of eggs to order, meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereals, fruit, pastries, juices etc. There is a lovely roof-top terrace with views of the monuments of Rome including the dome of St. Peter’s. The street is quiet but very close to the primary sites. We could not think of any reasons not to recommend this hotel and so we recommend this hotel without hesitation!!!

Beautiful small quaint hotel, quiet but within walking distance from several attractions. Staff is very friendly, beds are comfortable, rooms are very clean, and the towels were really fluffy and smelled good. I mention this because our last towels in our previous hotel smelled like vinegar. The bathrooms also have been rennonvated so they are really nice. They had a big buffet breakfast with a variety of foods and rooftop where you could take your drinks. I highly recommend this hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for the last nights of our trip to Italy. It was amazing! Much better than any other hotel we stayed in. The beds were oh, so comfortable, there were enough outlets, good lighting, the bathroom was gorgeous! Reception was inviting, spoke English probably better than a lot of native speakers. Had the breakfast and there were plenty of options american and continental. I think the location was perfect as it was at the halfway point between the Vatican and Ancient Rome while being right by the Spanish Steps and the Trevi fountain and all the best shopping in Rome. I also like the selection of restaurants in the area better than around the coliseum because it was less touristy food. I would absolutely stay here again. Side note: someone mentioned there were no washcloths. We found that there weren’t any washcloths at any hotel we stayed while in Italy.
