The reception staff are just so unfriendly and rude, decorators were there painting over mould on the 4th floor. Bar open only from 11-2 no it was shut more or less all the time . Breakfast staff lovely Very very noisy hotel people shouting banging doors in the early hours . Looks nice in the pictures but a very very very basic hotel

In my opinion this hotel is a huge catfish compared to the images online. The reception area is as nice as the images but that’s it. Upon arrival we were told we were upgraded to the junior suite - which unusually we were pleased about. However when we arrived to our floor, the lift doors opened to a complete building site. The floor was covered in cardboard and paint, tape around the lift doors as they had painted that, and a HUGE mould part of the wall. The wallpaper is peeling throughout the hotel and in each crack you can see the mould. Initially we looked past the building work, but then every day from 9am - 6/7pm you can hear builders from the hall way talking, drilling and completing the work. The walls are PAPER thin, you could probably quite easily punch through it… and it seemed as though they placed us next to a room being renovated… I’m not sure why on earth they would ‘upgrade’ us to a floor like this next too a room with renovations… The room itself is quite dated and not like the images. Definitely more of a 2 star room. To make matters worse the towels are were also dirty. In all honesty we should be getting a complete refund, but a rushed leave in the morning and reception never actually asked how our stay was. Don’t stay here, plenty of other hotels are really nice Air BnBs available. See pics for proof.

Great location with lovely breakfast. Room was a little tired with minimal natural light. Bathroom was renovated so a plus there. Nice foyer but the "solarium" area is nothing like the pics with fake grass and a few deck chairs in questionable condition. Basically a 2 star hotel in a really good location.

A hotel in central Madrid within walking distance of the Prado Museum and Sol Plaza. As a hotel for weekend stays it works very well, but for business travel there are a few things to consider. The room lacked a heating iron and a magnifying mirror (which I often use for my contacts). You hear door slams from other guests but not from the street. Our room was situated on the third floor facing the backstreet. Overall great service, neat cleaning, and the staff is very helpful. Nice breakfast.

The hotel is very old the pictures on the internet doesn’t reflect the reality. The halls are dark and the carpet was dirty. The room was very small, no enough lights only night table lamps. No natural light either. The wall paper was peeling off. The carpet was dirty. Located close to a homeless shelter. Not very pretty around that area.
